Every time i've seen him or used him he looked pretty lackluster to me, except for saving allies every now and then with W he pretty much seems like a sitting duck.
Assuming he can W an enemy once (after applying the stacks), he is pretty much left with no means of damage, i honestly really can't see why all the complains are about.
Cloud2731 votesBecause people think that tanks should be allowed to have good damage. Tahm Kench is extremely tanky, and has amazing damage. He also has a lot of utility with his global ult and his ability to protect an ally before they get slaughtered.
Nekusen1 votesgood damage? his ult would be good if it were global, but it isn't, it's just long range though he has some utility with his slow and saving allies with W, but there are so much better tanks/supports out there to get before him.
kyocrisis1 votesEr he's really tanky and he can kill a ton of champs without them even having a chance to escape. He can slow twice, stun twice, and swallow you in one go. Which would in theory be ok if that didn't kill you but it will.
However I haven't seen him much at all since his nerfs so I'm not sure if he's quite as potent as before.
