At rank 3 it's only 60 seconds. Guardian's angel performs the same effect, but has a five MINUTE cooldown.
I'm not saying it needs to match GA's cooldown, but good god for a tool with such massive utility power, why does it only need 60 seconds before any CDR to recharge?

And because assasination ults have similar CDs.
Also, its Zilean's only reason to be even considered a Support. An Aoe CC and a short duration single target haste/slow is horrible utility.
EDIT: Also, iirc, its a lategame nerf as Old Zilean could rewind several times with 40% cdr and make the Ult have like 30s cd.

Voluug131 votesHe is from the time where the 0cs support meta didnt exist. He was labeled as a support by Riot but players migrated him to Mid as a utility AP carry that was good at screwing mobility assasins with point-and-click burst, but was shitted on by long range/poke champions due to range. A Lux could spam /l at him as he tried to get close to her to bomb her. Basically Riot nerfed him by making his Q a skillshot because he was stoping LCSBIGPLAYS from Zed.
His supporting was pretty bad (Old Karma problem, shoved into bot but needs gold to buy AP and Mana, was way better at mid), and while it was improved with the rework, they completly killed Mid Zileanand his reliability on his ONLY DAMAGE SPELL for that, and its still sub-par compared to Nami. His ult is his only good point, but even then with a better support it may have been unnecesary to win trades.
Also, his latest changes made Rewind so useless and redundant, that a charges system on Time Bomb and Time Warp could better that Rewind. That frees up a slot for another spell ZILEAN NEEDS.
He still needs copious amount of gold to buy his core, since he has to spam so many spells and land them every single one to perfection to achieve the same results as his ''peers''.

Ariaflux1 votesZilean's R only last 5 seconds, and his skills other than his R is pretty meh. Furthermore, you are comparing a champion with an item. It's hard enough comparing champions with each other due to having to take into account their whole kit and many other factors, it's pretty much pointless to compare them with items.

You can get 5 Zilean ults, 8 of them with 40% CDR, during 1 GA cooldown, yet they both serve the function of preventing death. Entirely preventing someone's death is so powerful a skill they put GA on a five minute cooldown, yet Zilean can do the same thing 5-8 times in the same period. That's just messed up to me.

Abilities =/= items.
Ashe's frost shot vs. Frozen Mallet, Sivir's spell shield vs. Banshee's Veil, Fizz's Troll Poll vs. Hourglass, Gangplank's Oranges vs. QSS, Judgement vs. Cape of Suns: you're looking at pretty weak QWE capabilities as a major draw to purchase rather expensive items.
There are a lot of abilities that just aren't available in item form: slows are the only type of CC you can really add with items. You can't itemize for pulls, flings, knockbacks, suppression, knockups, polymorphs, charms, fears, taunts, silences, blinds.
lB2kGRlc8y1 votesGA can't be avoided, if its up and the wearer dies, it goes into effect. Zileans ult has a window of opportunity, and if it doesn't proc in said window, its wasted completely.
