Can we gain/lose LP based on our performance?

We have skill ratings now, why not use these to determine LP gain/loss? And don't say the "If you lose you did something wrong" excuse. It is NOT my fault that my bot lane decided to tower dive level 3 and feed the enemy adc. It is NOT my fault that my team has a troll on it. It is NOT my fault your system puts me against pre-mades as an all solo team. So why am I punished for it? I was once told (As a top laner) to make more TP plays, which is harder with the TP nerf, but aside from that, I'm supposed to change my playstyle? Why will Riot defend supports who don't get sightstone by saying "We don't want to force a meta/playstyle" but will leave me in a place where I have no choice but to do exactly that? Riot, please do something right this season (Or at least next season) and let us gain/lose based on how WE as a player do. That's all I ask.

Team sport, sport. It is a misconception to claim personal responsibility for the work of a team. League Points are distributed to the members of a team for team victory/defeat.

For an examination of individual performance with respect to other summoners who have played a specific champion/role, see your letter grade.

Piece of free advice ( worth every penny paid for it XD ): The term thrown around "carry" is somewhat against the nature of a team; add your best effort to the work of the team, because that is all you can contribute.

no. if we ranked people by skill then everyone would be in the middle with very few people being diamond + or below silver 5. the majority would be gold and rank would mean nothing.

you would turn the log scaling of the ladder into a bell curve (which could be accurate), but pointless.
