what happened now? I thought she always scaled on hp?

It's still super questionable for this to be physical damage rather than magic damage. It's just going to make it super hard to trade since one of your main damage abilities now has to contend with the enemy's most likely higher armour stat.

Also wondering, if it's not too much trouble could you post some bases/the HP ratio so plebs like me who can't access the PBE can have some idea of what her damage will look like since S@20 is being (understandably) slow?

It took me about ~4000 total HP before I doubled the base damage on W, which starts off extremely low and only caps at 40 on the first swing, 160 on the second. and it's the clumsiest skillshot ever, they should absolutely break it into a 2-part spell rather than one cast like rengar's Q. it's not even her main damage tool anymore; all her damage is on the _ridiculous _ power of her ice pop. starts at 15% of enemy max HP, doubles by the end of the game.

and it sucks because it doesn't even feel particularly good (no new attack animation for hitting frozen people, for example) but it eats up so much of her power budget because of the insane damage it does.

her E's stun is twice as much as her point-blank ult once it's maxed; nothing about the ult scales other than the damage and the cooldown. not the stun (1 point blank, 2 at long range; E scales up to 2.)

her damage is really low on everything else. I really don't like this rework; she feels extremely unsatisfying to play now but I can already tell she'd be absolutely broken if released like this. even worse is that her passive is now one of those 'charges out of combat' things that works completely counter-intuitively to being a front line tank; you can absorb a lot of damage on your way in but you completely crumble afterwards.

i really want them to take a fat chunk out of the passive's damage and put it back into the damage on her abilities. W feels really weird as physical damage too; I don't like it.

TBH that sounds about like what I was expecting. Nothing about this rework feels thought out, everything looks clunky, weak and terrible to play.

It seems to me like as you said, a lot of her power is being eaten up by her passive damage, but I also think far too much of it is in her ability to stun off of melee allies. How powerful can you let a champion be when they can chain stun off of a Renekton with 0 effort? The variation between her best case team and worst case if far too great, she'll either end up busted with those few allies or worthless without them, either way she'll be reliant on them.

yeah, it's not that good.

the idea of some of this stuff is good, like W being a skillshot(s), but the power distribution is so unbelievably fucked right now. they could do with adjusting animations too, to add some satisfaction; W needs to feel like a heavy flail on the second part and not a quick whip.

maokai feels a lot better to play, aside from his ult, and his defensive steroid is actually usable in a teamfight instead of at the start of it

might make a proper sejuani thread when I can better articulate why I dislike it and where I want power to be shifted

I just did, I may not be able to play it, but I have enough experience to understand the issues.

The only thing I didn't outline is the defence storied because I'm still not entirely clear on it and Sej has functioned without any real one before, so it could be OK I guess.

you get a really big chunk of armor and MR that lasts for a few seconds after you've taken damage, and slow immunity

like, several hundred of both even from level 1, and I think the value scales with your stats? may just be base values scaling with level though.

but I would much rather have it be something I work for and either get as a ramping stat that stays until I leave a fight, or have it activate constantly for bursts of high defense for, say, freezing opponents. i hate 'passive' passives, if that makes sense. I want to be rewarded for doing shit

I still think that's probably OK if her other abilities function though. Remember that her current passive is 10-25 armour scaling with level. If her W, E and R were decent enough to pull weight I don't think I'd have an issue with a somewhat meh passive.

Yes, that would be better, but beggars can't be choosers. If the other abilities turn out fine, I think her passive will be fine. The problem is that right now that doesn't look like the case.
