Kalista counters Singed. You would have a similar result if you were against Vayne, Gnar, Kayle, Draven, or Lulu.

Singed is a champion susceptible to kiting, so he is a bad pick against champions who excel at kiting. It's like picking Fiora into Malphite; sure you can win, but you are at a disadvantage due to the kits of the champions involved.

This is not about the fact that a champ like singed is "countered" by champs like Kalista or Vayne

Its the fact that only vs Kalista can a 600+ MS singed whose built full tank run straight at her, not get CC'd at all by the enemy team and still never be reach kalista.

Thats just fucking ridiculous.

Singed typically only reaches ~450MS due to softcapping and he won't do any damage if he built full tank. You usually want, at minimum, Rylai's Crystal Scepter and Liandry's Torment for damage. Thornmail is a good addition for dealing with ADCs as well.

Every champion I listed in my initial post can stop Singed from reaching them as well. Vayne has Tumble and Condemn. Lulu has an MS buff and a slow. Gnar has a jump, a slow, and a reliable movespeed buff in mini form. Kayle has a slow and her MS buff. Draven has an MS buff which refreshes upon catching an axe and Stand Aside.

This is not a new phenomena. Singed is a melee without a gapcloser and those champions have traditionally been susceptible to kiting. There should have been other enemies you could target and allies who could handle Kalista on your team. If there wasn't, then your team chose their champions and strategy poorly.

If you read the posts, you would see that's not what people are saying. Singed is a champion susceptible to kiting, so he is a bad pick against champions who excel at kiting.
