You are a Diamond 5. You know the basics. Speaking as Main Jungle.

If you push, I'll gank you. If you playing no escape champ, I'll gank you. If you are playing Hard counter to my top, I'll camp you. If you are playing a weak top (i.e. Riven), I'll tilt you. If my top has hard CC like Naut, Poppy, I'll gank you.

Ward their tower.

you cant stop gragas ganks. you cant. there is no counterplay to a tanky fuck who still does retarded damage and can ulti you out of the safe zone. tell me to avoid that as well and ill know you're trolling.

Sejuani Easy mode.

No way you are a true Diamond. If you do not know how to deal with certain Junglers, you don't belong in your rank.

Pick hard escape tops like Malphite and hope your jungler pressures another lane so Gragy is forced to rush to that lane. He is an excellent junlge choice but not impossible to deal with.

You just have to rely that your Jungler will do as much work but in other lanes. Gragas wins early vs most. He is not easy to deal with but your best bet is having Sejuani jungle to counter his kit.

Also, pray you have an excellent support like Janna/Taric.

so im not diamond because i have trouble playing a 2v1 where the jungler camping me is gragas. classic. i never rely on my jungler. but when i do get camped i actually need him to prove that he notices it and not just ignore it.

Trying to be productive here, so if you're getting camped and your jungler won't help you, you have a few options:

  1. If this is happening to you a lot, play champs that are really hard to dive like: Kayle Irelia Lulu Galio

  2. Take camps from the upper jungle (don't take the buffs unless you want your jg to rage). Just explain to your jg nicely that you are getting camped and need to catch up. Taking rift scuttler helps too.

  3. Roam bot/mid lane. The way the enemy jungler makes you feel helpless, you can turn that around on the enemy team by camping one of the other two lanes. You'd be surprised how quickly bot lanes, especially, tilt (there's two people to tilt!)

  4. Ask your jungler to set up a countergank. It's very easy to countergank a tower dive in 99% of cases.

  5. Rush a item 3060 or item 3512 to help keep your towers from falling and give you afk gold income.

Welcome to top lane. The place where YOU have to get yourself fed for when the jungle comes. Then you can get a double kill.

Edit. If you can't counter as top you better pick a strong champ or...FOOOD.

Prozzak1 votes

If you are constantly getting dove and find yourself on the losing end of who has the better jungler maybe you are doing something wrong. I mean, it keeps happening and you are the only common variable, so there must be something you are doing to set up these ganks for the other team.

Then again it could just be bad junglers (highly unlikely) but I am a jungle main so I tend to assume you are one of those laners who just can't ever seem to remember the good your jungler is doing and only ever remember the fact that he wasn't there when you got ganked.

Speaking as a jungler, I will generally avoid ganking a lane (unless I see a really good opportunity or can solo the laner) if my ally in the lane is really behind. There is little point in giving the enemy laner a double-kill (or resetting my feeding ally's bounty) to help someone who has not demonstrated competence when I could be more productive elsewhere.

Similarly, I will continue ganking a lane if I keep getting kills when I do so or my ally in that lane seems competent enough to carry (or at least not throw away the lead).

I would suggest identifying what causes your initial deaths in most lane match-ups (i.e. pushing without wards, not watching the minimap, staying too long at low health, dying 1v1, etc) and try to avoid doing that. If you don't make yourself an appealing target, the enemy jungler probably won't bother camping you.

Goodest Gamer1 votes

i get ganked on a daily basis 5 times before 10 minutes before my jungler sets foot on my lane

EndlessSorcerer1 votes

And I would suggest your try to figure out what exactly it is you are doing which makes you such an appealing target for the enemy jungler to gank.

  • Are you overextending without wards frequently? This lets junglers easily get behind you and block off your escape route or time their engage for when you jump on your lane opponent to trade or blow a useful cooldown.

  • Are you staying under your tower at too low health? This can make you an appealing target to dive since you will dive quickly, you have an illusion of security (resulting in you playing less safely) and you will loss the gold and experience of all the minions under your tower.

  • Are you playing a certain champion who tend to be desireable gank targets? For example, I tend to camp Riven and Yasuo players because they (1) tend to play extremely aggressively and overextend, (2) generally rely on snowballing and are not useful when behind and (3) tend to tilt/rage easily when they fall behind which can lead to them raging and destroying their team's morale.

Unless you figure out why you are such an desirable target, you are going to keep getting ganked.

Also, I have no idea whether or not you do so, but you should definitely avoid talking in all-chat after dying. Personally, that just lets me know that the player is angry and will be easy to tilt, so I just keep ganking them so they destroy their own team's morale.

Goodest Gamer1 votes

im chat restricted because i told my 1-14 voli support who was intent feeding to stop fucking around and stop fucking ruining other peoples games. im "toxic" by riots definition. did that voli get banned? nope.

EndlessSorcerer1 votes

What does that have to do with anything? All I said was that you shouldn't complain in all-chat after you get ganked because that lets the enemy jungler know they are getting to you (prompting them to return and tilt you further).

Goodest Gamer1 votes

, "but you should definitely avoid talking in all-chat after dying. Personally, that just lets me know that the player is angry and will be easy to tilt, so I just keep ganking them so they destroy their own team's morale."

restrictions dont let you talk in all chat.

EndlessSorcerer2 votes

IIRC, chat restrictions limit the number of messages you can send in game. They don't block chat entirely, but they greatly reduce the number of times you can do so.

Then again, I've never gotten a chat restriction (or even a warning) in over three years playing the game, so my information is incomplete and probably outdated.

Though, I didn't know that chat restrictions completely prevented all-chat.

Neat.

i cant stress this enough ward ward and then ward once again everyone says its supports job but if look up the number the more other roles ward the higher % win ratio and it is consistent through all tiers more ward safer lane easier wins

Sooo, I tried to pull your account to view your past few games. Sadly it must be a smurf because this account shows no activity for over 24 hours.

It's hard to offer input or have a discourse without that information. And it's a discussion that I, as a low level player, would like to have.

Goodest Gamer1 votes

mistrz karolek is my smurf. check the bot lanes scores on the games that i lose while you're at it.

Dediguise1 votes

Awesome. So after looking at the games, what really stuck out to me is that you played yasuo. As a jungle main, I always camp yasuo's. Why? because they are the players most prone to overextend. They are always looking for a fight. Obviously that's a commentary on yas players as a whole and not on yourself, but does give you an indicator as to what a jungler should be thinking. Likewise your jungler should take that into account and act accordingly, either counterganking, counterjungling or camping a different lane. IN that respect I think you have the right to blame the jungler. However, it's that kind of game knowledge that separates not just plats from golds, but diamonds from plats.

It seems you've fallen victim to holding your gold teams to the standard you hold your diamond teams.

Goodest Gamer1 votes

i swear to every god there is i no longer overextend. im legit freezing any wave possible to avoid ganks, btu that doesnt stop the gragas from sitting on me every game. my last jungler had 0 ganks but went mid solo, died, went top solo, died, went bot solo died. that kind of thing is irritating.

Dediguise1 votes

I understand, and I wasn't accusing you of overextending as much as noting that the enemy jungler was going to camp you because he assumed you would overextend. Even if you never overextended he eventually had to force an unfavorable gank, because otherwise he would have lost xp and gold camping your lane for no return.

Be the jungler

Stop pushing.

IcyPepper1 votes

Ask your jungler or support to drop a deep ward here or there so you can see Zac coming for your booty. Makes counterganks so much easier, and tantalizing for the jungler before you fall too far behind.

Goodest Gamer1 votes

my jungler wouldnt come top with a 500 pixel stick if his life depended on it.

Blåbæret1 votes

Certain champs can tower dive too easily and it needs to be fixed. Saying l2p to the OP is nice and all, but it doesn't solve his/her problem. Why can Jax tower dive literally taking no damage even at low level? Why do these champs even exist? Jax is the definition of a toxic champ that requires zero skill and can tank towers all day; all night at lvl 1, It's so dumb. Towers are so weak it's ridiculous.

DorkunedAuras1 votes

wow the clueless QQ here is real.

xShadowBlade1 votes

Theres a reason top lane is called "The Island" because unless all the other lanes are doing well or you and your jungle plan to take herald early after dominating top, there is literally no reason to come top. Dragon, the more immediately useful objectives is on the other side of the map, also If i was a jungler (im a support main) i would gank bot to get 2 people ahead and have those 2 help me drag, instead of get 1 person ahead so i can get a few minute buff which will not be guaranteed to have any useful effect during its duration.

From there on really its hard for me to say man, generally if youre <50% HP you probably should back, keep your tri/river bush warded as much as you can and clench your butt cheeks if you dont have flash available.

Really if your jungler IS decent, he will go force dragon, get a gank bot/mid if their jungler insists on camping top, the best I can say here is that you hope your team takes objectives on the other side of the map because their jungler is putting pressure in the top half of the map, so they should do likewise in the bottom half, taking towers and objectives.
