Why does obtaining Challenger in Flex give the Challenger recall?
Seeing a Platinum IV player who has been Platinum/Gold in solo queue for the past 5 seasons with the Challenger recall really devalues the entire thing.

Because they are Challenger. No one said it had to be in solo queue.
ITT: People who aren't aware of the issues Flex has with rampant win trading.
Because there are so few people playing Flex, two teams can queue at the same time and are all but guaranteed to get each other. If you look at the history of many high ranked Flex players, you'll often see that they're 'farming' people who they used to play with.
You'll also see a lot of low level accounts in high Diamond. They 'boost' these accounts by queuing with them at odd hours, when it can't find a good match because nobody plays flex, and their MMR quickly gets boosted up to match other team members'. Once they're high enough to get matched against (i.e. even low Diamond), they farm them for LP.
Flex is hot garbage. Challenger in Flex is not comparable to Challenger in solo queue. Many of these players struggle against Platinum players in normal/solo queue. You just need enough time and people willing to abuse the system.

He got challenger in flex. He deserves it. It uses the same mmr system as solo que.
it might be a bug? i thought the recall would only work for the queue. so if you were flex challenger and went to solo, it wouldnt give you the challenger recall.
