some Galio tricks

passive can be used to harass enemy laners without drawing aggro; hit a minion next to them if they go into their wave and you'll deal full damage with no aggro for your entire combo

E can juke spells on the windup; since he sends himself backwards, you can aim it sideways to dodge linear spells, in any direction to dodge circular AoEs, and backwards/forwards to dodge sometthing like Darius's Q outer part. also, if you're close enough you can E backwards and jump behind someone, which again can dodge anything they might cast in front of themselves, but more importantly you can cut off an escape path and force a flash

thought it was pretty interesting, not sure if someone covered it in a video yet since i don't sub to any league youtubers.

I have to wait like a week or two to try these...

You smug bastard...how I envy you.

I second this. I want a PBE so badly...

but galio is probably going to be strongest as an AD bruiser with item 3078 item 3053 fulltank

all my efforts to make him an AP fighter will be for naught

kind of depressing

Why Steraks? His passive uses bonus AD.

Big Lincoln1 votes

no, it's 100% total AD, because he converts his entire AD to magic damage plus the base plus MR scaling

also because his base AD is great and he'll get about 300 damage on sheen procs with it late game, not including when Sterak's pops and makes it even higher

also because it gives him a fat shield on top of his existing magic shield

Huh, I could have sworn it was a bonus AD scaling. Must have read it wrong.

i'll be really annoyed if this becomes the meta build or some other tank variant

would have been so exciting to see a new AP fighter, we have so few Mordekaiser Rumble Chogath (well he's a tank now but he's kind of fighter-y)

I really would prefer another tank over another fighter. We have enough fighters in this game.

And AP fighters are in the same boat as AP assassins, their itemization is held hostage by mages.

I'd at least like for AP fighter to not be completely overshadowed by this fucking triforce cancer

i think it'd be fairly easy to maintain AP bruiser-ish builds, or at least make them more appealing, with AP scalings on his W shield so that AP+health gives him the best result over raw HP. His scalings are great, but his base damage is so high already that he can still shit on squishies even without a lot of AP. it's just.. he's going to be way too good as a tank, with his uptime on nearly 60% damage reduction combined with his high base damage and CC-locking power.

might make a thread about it because I really want it to be the offensive build he uses, triforce fighters are just so tiresome and boring and i hate how the entire group is being warped around this one item

He'll probably get nerfs anyway to make him more reasonable as a tank. He should still be encouraged to build more like a tank than an AP bruiser since he is primarily a tank.

As a Darius main, I am now terrified of a Galio juking my Q and immediately knocking me up with the same abilitiy ;-;

You should take solace in the fact that by virtue of being an AD caster you negate a huge chunk of galio's durability built into his kit, like his mr shield and higher mr ratios (his armor ratios arent as good).

Galio hates building armor compared to mr, and darius is an AD caster.

Also, even max rank justice punch has a longer cd than level 1 decimate, nevermind level 5 decimate.

Hmm, against Darius he can't cast his E when he's in melee range, because he'll be Apprehended instantly, unless Darius is taunted/cc'd (obviously).

Darius should never cast Q, though, unless Galio's E is on CD. If he's walking backwards/casting from Blade range to hit him with the blade, then Galio can easily juke it with E and then go in with the knock up + dash. If Galio's in melee range, then it'll simply miss and be useless (unless the Galio is stupid enough to E into it, but I wouldn't count on that, especially not after the first couple times.)
