Some math on the gold generated by minions next patch

Every 3 min, before changes and before 20 minutes in the game 18 melee minions 20x18= 360 18 caster minions 17x18 = 306 2 cannons 45x2 = 90 Total base value : 756 G (every 3 min) Growth : 2x0.125x36 + 2x0.35x2 = 10.4 G (every 3 min)

Every 3 min, after changes and before 20 minutes in the game 18 melee minions 21x18= 378 18 caster minions 14x18 = 252 2 cannons 60x2 = 120 Total base value : 750 G Growth : 2x3x2 = 12 G

After 20 min, 1 cannon every 2 waves (aka 3 cannons in 3 min) Before patch -> Base value +45 : 801 G growth + 2x0.35 : 11.1 G

After patch -> Base value +60 : 810 G growth + 3x2 : 18G

After 35 min, 1 cannon every wave (aka 6 cannons in 3 min) Before patch -> Base value +135 : 936 G growth + 2x3x0.35 : 13.2 G

After patch : Base value + 180 G : 990G growth + 9x2 : 27G

Conclusion : Almost the exact same gold generation early (like 6 gold less in the first 3 minutes : actually even less cause better growth starts popping) Starting like 10 minutes, the gold generation's already better At 20 minutes, there's definitely quite more gold in the game than before At 35 minutes, it's not even close, much more gold. (don't forget the better growth stacked up harder and harder every one and a half minute)

So my question is, Riot, why are you ninjabuffing gold generation? You know what class benefits most from gold and not levels? Yeah, you do.

Edit : After a long series of wrong and right calculations, I've come to the approximation of a 640 gold total difference generated per lane in 37 minutes. It's not that huge, it's a little bit.

Somehow this otherwise-reasonable post turned into a complaint about ADCs, justified by the frankly paranoid and bitter reasoning that anything that might help the class in certain situations more than it helps other classes must be a hidden plot to over-buff marksmen. I’m disappointed.

A difference of 9 gold every three minutes after 20 minutes for a player with perfect CS is meaningless. Also, your presentation incomplete because you have provided no numbers for the “much” higher gold value of waves after 35 minutes.

They want the LCS to be 1 adc and 4 supports or 2 adc and 3 supports on each team every game.

But do we get what buffing gold generation really does?

Every class benefits from gold. What it does is giving people more gold lessen the impact of gold differences. It lessens the discrepancy by making it a smaller proportion. What this does is lessen the impact of early gold gains. It increases gains to gold to catch up. By just existing and running the clock, it lessens advantages more. It weakens gains from when you make good plays and covers for the mistakes of those you play against.

If this is so, it's Riot again looking for ways to cater to casual players, it's catering to them not taking the game seriously but also not wanting to lose and they do that by weakening player's ability to have an impact on the outcome of games. It's one of the reasons why the game feels so shitty to play for so many people nowadays.

This actually promotes more aggressive laning because denying a cannon minion will become a huge advantage bigger than it already is. Image you get the cannon and deny the cannon from the enemy laner thats a 120 gold differential thats 30 gold than it was previously its a 25% nerf/buff to players depending on if they can proper play around the cannon minions. This is a buff to lane bullies and early game champs without directly buffing the champions its actually a good change for the game if you think about it. and this is like day 1 on the PBE its gonna be worked around and tweaked im pretty sure before this is actually released

Gold generation helps everyone. Supports even more so when their bot laner starts falling behind.

It will also reward players who play safe after falling behind due to unlucky circumstances. Such as the auto attack or ability that got cancelled or fizzle upon death. Which would have otherwise been a gold equalizer.

I thought all classes benefit most from getting gold, but ok. feelsbad once I miss cs considering I can never hit muh cannons ;_;

to actually reply though, the biggest influence according to your kekulations would be after 35 minuets. but don't games normally end around 25? and at 10 mins, a tower usually would have fallen, meaning people would have been taking cs from other lanes or the jungle right?
