Please tell me Teemo is getting reworked in season 7 Riot

Season 6 just showed us just how bad is. Koreans can't make him look good. TSM can't make him look good.

Captain of the yordle and an iconic original champion, he is currently pretty much an auto loss when picked in competitive. Funny thing is that in all matches he was picked this season so far (accidental or intentionnal), he was facing , a superior version of him.

In those match-ups we could see just how much better Gnar is. There is currently no reason at all to pick Teemo. He is just an underwhelming Gnar. His mini form alone is arguably better then Teemo (better poke, self peel, stickyness and damage), and he can transform mega to become tanky and a scary initiator/peeler for his team.

Before you could take Teemo over Gnar if you wanted more map control and AP scaling. Not anymore. His muchrooms got destroyed in season 5 (scuttle crab and duration cut) and makes his AP build virtually unplayable at high level.

His identity got destroyed and his priority on the rework list should be high for the upcoming season imo.

I really hope won't stay in the shadow of for another season...

fix teemo by buffing his base ad, making his shrooms last 10 mins but with a longer cd, nerfing oracles and sweepers (they are SO fucking broken), and making his Q block EVERY on hit effect, and not just some.

Eh. You do not pick gnar for the same reason you pick teemo. You pick gnar for team play, engage, kiting, etc. you pick teemo for map pressure. He is an elo stomper in the right hands, he is designed to be bad in LCS

the problem with teemo is that. even against your easiest match ups. one fucking istake. the littlest reaction mistake. and you die because you have no escape. no cc. and squishie as hell. even when i manage to get first blood on darius he flashed onto me grave me stacks 4-5 passive stacks because i can't do much about it. and ults me and i die. he falls off too. he doesn't have the range of the carry to be played as one. and he isn't a tanky top laner to be played as a bruiser. you can't do anything right with him unless you play him to absolute GOD-TEEMO perfection. which means hes just flawed

I think teemo is strong for his early lane pressure (from range poke with hybrid damage) and have high move speed (his W) to escape, he is extremely safe from ganks in the right hand in exchange he's not so reliable in team fight Gnar can do all of that but better (W passive move speed, Q slow), also he can be tanky mid-late game and have lots of AOE CC for team fight but you have to be well manage your rage bar

with the new mastery system gnar can build 2 damage items then go full tank and still be a threat thanks to his jump and stuns but teemo is much squishier even when you build full tank (then do absolutely no damage) and of course you'll be nothing but a punching bag in teamfight cause no CC

So how to play Teemo now? I think split push is the best for him atm but there are so many better splitpushers (shen, fiora, jax, irelia, kayle .. and again Gnar - all of them are great if not amazing for tele > teamfight) Jungle is ok too but item 3124 got nerf so it's not as good (and fun) as it used to be

Teemo for me is a combination of marksman (on-hit build) but not really due to his low range, mage-assassin (AP build) but not really 'cause he only has his Q to burst, and control-mage (his ult kinda provides visions and creates a "safe" zone for allies) but not really 'cause oracle A little bit of everything makes his kit weird and hard to develop, so a rework for him is reasonable

TBH I'm a teemo player so it feels bad when I see Teemo is considered a joke, a troll pick in LCS

PS: item 3124 got a rework because only KogMaw and Kayle buy it - but then they nerf it and guess what ? only Kayle and KogMaw buy it lol

Following that logic, 3/4 of the champions need rework cause nobody can make them look good in competitive. Im still waiting for MasterYi 1st apperance in LCS.

Teemo is a troll pick because he serves no true purpose anymore. He is neither a marksman nor a assasin. His kit is so costly and he is pretty reliant on AA throughout the game if he goes on-hit build with a small base AD scaling compared to natural ADC's like twitch/vayne.

He is still considered as a peasant because of the old memes and players old experience against him. Yes, he can be oppressive against some melee top laners but some ranged/melee top laners can be oppressive against teemo as well. It works both ways. He can't split push as one would think nor can he assasinate without being the squishiest bastard in the team and nor is he useful in team fights.

He needs a rework that gives him a definite role if not a buff.

Teemo is a gimmick champ designed to sell skins and merch. Riot doesn't care about making him viable.

As long as he has his useless stealth and garden of shrooms he's always going to be a joke champ. He's not going to stop being a troll pick until they remove his only viable strength, cheesing people who don't think.

Well Teemo s kit to begin with isn't healthy, a passive invisibility which kicks in when standing still, a point and click blind which resets autos, poison damage, an MS boost, and an ultimate that is essentially invisible traps that apply poison damage and CC in an AOE. I mean what can you really buff without making it overbearing?

People hate teemo because of how cheap it can feel for a Teemo to have just been standing in the middle of a lane waiting for you to approach some point and then just come out of nowhere and kill you. At times his traps kill you out of nowhere or even chunk a significant portion of your HP with no real form of counterplay beyond a guessing game involving your item 3364 and item 2043 . I guess you could argue {{champion:17}'s traps are similar to Jhin 's but they only apply CC to targets in the radius and don't immediately apply damage like Teemo do.

This is not to say he is overpowered but rather a brief explanation as to why people hate him. A good number of champions effectively dumpster a teemo in lane and the ones who don't can still make a large impact than Teemo provided they didn't end up feeding him.

The reason they couldn't "make him work" is that they weren't really trying to "make him work"

WHY DO PEOPLE COMPLAIN ABOUT CHAMPS THEY LIKE ? ?? ? Why tf would you want a rework if you main teemo? Did you play one game and say "hmm this champion's kit sucks" then decide: fuck all teemo mains? If you really like playing teemo then you wouldn't be asking for a rework, maybe a small buff or change but not a rework. Ivan Pavlov is challenger NA and he's been like that for a while, he's always master+, so quit pretending teemo is unplayable when really you just haven't got any feeling for the champ but you still like him for some reason.

But, with that being said, champions that obviously need a buff like Heimerdinger can still be used to get to master tier by good Heimer players, but this just suggests that overall game skill is more rewarding than people think, and it's not always OP champs that you need to play if you want to climb
