You can't reliably just use your ult as a gapcloser to rape somebody; you actually rely on the Death Mark pop in a teamfight and there's too much counterplay for that to work.

The only thing about zed that can be countered is his 100-0 burst, everything else about him is overpowered and left unchecked.

His dueling has some of the least counterplay of any assassin but his teamfighting has some of the most.

His map pressure is crazy, yeah.

His burst has counterplay, his teamfight doesn't really have much counterplay. He simply cannot be locked down nearly as well as he needs to be to shut down his team fights.

He cannot adequately fulfill his job against a semi-competent team unless they do no counterbuilding or he is ahead.

He does not have the reliable 100-0 every time of LB or Talon. His dueling has next to no counterplay since he doesn't need his ult to kill a squishy, but his teamfighting has tons of counterplay since he needs his ult to kill in a teamfight. Between a support and a QSS, your ADC will not die that easily.

Zed goes untargetable during ult....lol can't really CC him until after, and even then he just blinks out.

Going on the assumption that he is garbage in late game; So what?

Having early or mid power but not late is a part of making a strategy to win the match. If you have that, you try to push harder than the enemy and end the game earlier before your power falls off. On the other side of the coin, if you have a late game monster, you drag out the match to gain the advantage.

Not everybody is meant to be equal at all times of the game, or even equal in general.

Ironically Malzahar fills a similar niche to Zed in terms of dueling (to the point that even Zed can't duel him), while at the same time having a much stronger lategame (mostly due to his Q, W, and R all being extremely useful in lategame fights)

That said Malzahar is also FAR less safe, and pushes the lane like no ones business.

I disagree with you here, the issue is that you are assuming Zed will automatically be the very first target prioritized. Once the tank engages, Zed is a lot more free to remove a single priority target including the other tanks if needed.

His strength is simply due to his assassination ablity, rather than AOE damage/utility which is what other members of the team fulfill. Zed is that guy you want destroying the enemy ADC/APC to prevent them from wrecking the tank or rest of the team.

Here's some tissues for your issues OP. Any champ is going to have a hard time if they're focused in team fights, not just Zed. Deal with it.

Because Zed's ability to 100-0 an adc late game is so underpowered! Honestly, if you play him right, Zed is one of the strongest champions with one of the highest win rates and ban rates in the LCS.

I agree, Zed's teamfighting is awful. We picked a splitpush/pick comp and I splitpushed all game and we won since they didn't counterbuild If we had a teamfight comp instead we would've gotten shit on since Zed's teamfighting sucks dick. Buff Zed.

Nah, Zed's late game is strong. He's great at getting pics and diving the backline ADC and eliminating them quickly all while being able to escape and rejoin the fight after his CD's are up. He's one of the better teamfighter/assassin picks on the roster.
