When I pick support as my secondary role, it basically becomes my primary role.
So the current system is that you can pick a primary and secondary role. Autofill is also a thing, you usually fill as support and sometimes as adc, in rare cases any of the other roles you didn't choose. Once you've autofilled or played support, you will get autofill protection for 2 games, which means that I basically get a rough average of 2 top games, 1 jungle game and 1 support game per 4 games that I play if I queue for top/jungle.
I believed it to be a really neat system for the majority of my league career, it allows you to play your favourite roles with only having to pick something that you aren't comfortable with a quarter of your games. I usually queued as top/jungle whenever I played ranked and played support from time to time. Queue times are acceptable too with this system, when I think back to teambuilder they were usually half an hour+ while with current draft pick they are about 10 minutes on average, if you count everytime someone dodges.
So over time I really didn't like the jungle meta all that much anymore because my champion pool became very unflexible in the jungle. Instead, support became a lot of fun because unlike jungle I actually developed a pretty decent and flexible champion pool in that role, which ultimately made it more fun for me than jungle.
So what I thought is that I should be able to just pick support as a secondary role besides toplane and take jungle out of the equasion, so I'll be more comfortable. Sadly, what I discovered is that if you do that you get WAY more support games than toplane games. Sure, queue times are much lower this way but I'm still no support main.
What I'm basically asking is that if you take support as a secondary role, there should be a factor in the algorithm that basically ensures that it actually is your secondary role and that you still get toplane for the majority of your games. I'd like to at least have an average of 2 toplane and 1 support game per 3 games in which I queued as top/support, not the other way around.
Besides that, I really like the system, unlike most people. Often times people complain that either queue times are too long or that they have to autofill, not realising that the current system is the perfect balance between the two. It's still the best queue system the game ever had imo, not as absurdly long queue times as teambuilder had and not nearly as much of a toxic clusterfuck with the "pick order" system that blind pick ranked was.
