On the Vel'koz rework and the likely change to Void Rift

If you're a Velkoz main then you likely know that most of Vel'koz and his power comes from his W especially in the early and mid game. This power is due to a few reason

  1. Vel'koz and his waveclear are all put onto his W which is similar to other champions such as Lux or Orianna who have one strong waveclear tool.
  2. The power doesn't come from the damage of the spell (his W does 35 more base damage than his Q) but rather the double proc helping his passive. This allows for him to chunk enemies super hard at levels 2 and 4.

For him to stay viable as an immobile mage with zero sustain he'll need these things to be kept on his W.

  1. Double passive proc
  2. Give it some form of waveclear even if it has more counterplay

Something that I'm fine being taken away.

  1. Stacking it twice. While if you remove it's stacking power it'd need to have a much shorter CD 19/18/17/16/15 -> 14/13/12/11/10. The double stacking can make him extremely oppressive when behind as it essentially makes him 100% safe at farming (especially if you run the cheese runes and hit 28% CDR by 7 minutes).

What do you guys think? What are you fine with being removed from his W?

Honestly if they are gonna change something, they should change his E.

His W is the shit :0

Didn't they say they where gonna touch Vel'Koz the least of them all? You probably have nothing to worry about.

I mean what's the worst that could happen? Just ask any of the mains of champs that have been touched in the past. XD
