Would I be considered, the average player?
I have exactly 270 wins and 270 losses in ranked right now. So far, the range has not shown any significant changes. The only issue know is that I cannot be better than the other 50%, so what should I do?

A 50% winrate doesn't really determine whether you are the average player or not. It more means you are at the correct rank for your current skill level. You are winning and losing against 50% of the players at that elo, not 50% of the people playing the game. If you are looking to improve the winrate I would suggest figuring out what your weaknesses are and specifically working to improve in those areas.
I think 50% winrate is actually a good spot to be in as a player, I actually have a 51% winrate atm.
Then why am I still in bronze 2 :/?
Logically speaking, it's probably because most of your 50% losses happen during promo games. That's all I can figure.

I'm in Bronze 2 as well, I just go one trick
to get out of it and it's been working VERY well.
I can win most games with Annie, but i don't get Mid all the time unfortunately.

I literally play Veigar in all positions but jg, pretty sure the same can be done with Annie, hell, Ziggs bot works so why not Annie bot?
Yes, you are right.
AFAIK, Silver 4 is around average for the playerbase.

Your rank may be relatively normal, but you may want to try to increase your MMR.
If ur in s5 with balanced mmr and a 50% winrate, ur as average as it gets
Statistically, to climb consistently, you need a 56% winrate.
