Why nobody talks about Hecarim?
I feel like Hecarim's kit hasn't aged well. Constantly nerfed in the past, he has the same problem as Ezreal; he is only really strong when abusing a new item or mechanic in the game (for example, when the elemental dragons were released, he would abuse the wind dragon).
Hecarim falls off very hard late game for how bad his early game is. Hecarim only has flat damage in his kit (no percentage health damage or armor penetration or true damage like other similar champions; he has mixed damage, but not mixed enough to allow him to deal with tanky opponents) so he can't deal with tanky opponents at all. His early game is reliant on rushing a Trinity Force (an expensive item for a jungler) and snowballing with ganks. His ganks are actually good, the problem is that other junglers have just as good ganks and they have better early game and/or scale better. Examples include Lee Sin or Jarvan IV.
Not to mention he has some outdated mechanics on his kit. For example, his W healing for a percentage of the damage done, instead of having a separate scaling. Also, despite the fact that Hecarim gets bonus AD with his passive, his AD scalings are really poor.
Not to mention, Hecarim has been gutted at top lane (he also used to be a top laner).
I think with the recent jungle changes, I would like to hear some opinion of people, about Hecarim. He used to be a champion I found to be fun to play and I played a lot in season 3 and 4, but after so many changes, I stopped playing him and it has been monthis since the last time I played Hecarim. Plus Hecarim has a really cool lore and cool skins.
or
have ganks that are just as good while having a better early game AND scaling better as well.
