Any advice for Mordekaiser?

I've been trying to find what runeset feels 'right' for mordekaiser and the conclusion I've come to is Aery can proc multiple times from your ult/W. Even more if they decide to try and fight you. That said, I haven't been able to win a single lane. I'm looking for advice from other MordeMains for your builds/runes. What's working for you guys?

im having the same issue i think Ive maybe won 2 lanes in my dozen+ games

that was with the phase rush into inspiration for free boots trying the hexteck freeze ray into sorcery not looking promising
