Hide champion selection in ranked games

Champ selection is just a dumb, broken down idea that is dependent on luck more than anything else. The only reason I'm not carrying all my games with Annie is because of this so-called " counter - picks, tarnishing my chances." 4/5 games I played recently, I was the first to pick.

As a consequence, I am slowly beginning to lose more games when faced against mages with longer poke like Lux, Orianna, and rarely Xerath. Not to mention MR resistant champions like Galio and Kassadin.

My 80% winrate Annie is now at 50% which is completely absurd since this happened.

What I propose is simple, each team will be able to see their own pick, but not what the other team picked. Please implement this feature so I won't have to get screwed over each time I play Annie. I've even started playing Vladimir because of this.

There no blind pick in ranked, that's only for normal.

thats the point of ranked? also if you have problems with annie then dont play her....

I wasn't offered first pick 4/5 times awhile ago, the issue is only happening now.

Counters are an intended feature of ranked. I agree it is frustrating, but I doubt they will ever change it.

In cases where you do not want to be counterpicked you are supposed to communicate with your team...

You can ask teammates near the end of pick order to grab your champion and swap with you for theirs.

Or do what I do and pick things that are uncommon or could work in multiple lanes so they cannot be certain what you are going to do.

That is a bummer, I'm sorry you have to deal with that.

There's still the last suggestion I offered, but I understand if you prefer Annie.

Beyond champion select there are options and means of counter-building or out-playing a lot of champions.

Other than that I've got nothing to provide advice-wise.

I mean,a full reason for draft/ranked champ select showing is beyond me. but if It didn't show you could probably see most of the champs the other team picked as the pick would be blocked for you as draft and ranked don't allow duplicate champs

Champ select is an important part of the game, being able to see the enemies picks helps shape your own picks. If you don't like being countered, just learn new champs or change up your playstyle against those champs. There are no 100% counters in League, it still comes down skill more than anything.
