Why doesnt cleanse remove suppression?

Im willing to bet this is the reason it is so unpopular. Warwick and Malhazar have very long-stunning ultimates and Cleanse should remove them.

Suppression specifically prevents usage of summoner spells.

Since you can't activate Cleanse, it won't remove the suppression.

Love it when mid laners take cleanse into my malzahar [slayer-pantheon-popcorn]

yes, very good for removing ignite and extremely smart decision

Because that's the entire point of suppression

The only thing suppressions do that stuns don't is prevent the usage of summoner spells.

Because then there would be no reason to play Malzahar anymore since you can just counter him by picking Cleanse without even fucking up your buildpath a little.

Boohoo. Play Teemo in ARAM and get completely countered for 5 minutes with a 300 Gold item.

The game is balanced around Summoner's Rift not ARAM

item 2047 Doesn't exist in Summoner's Rift.

Because in ARAM there's only one lane and Teemo could put shrooms everywhere stalling the game forever and taking half your health everytime you step one of them since item 2055 and item 3364 don't exist on ARAM so there needs to be an item that can make them visible, it doesn't remove them, they can still clear a wave if you fail to destroy them in time, also Teemo gets one shroom more quickly than Malzahar get his ultimate, which don't even require him to stand still for 2.5 seconds to make full use of, he can just drop one and reposition.

From what i know your supposed to be able to cleanse (or at least Quicksliver) Malz ult soon (dont know if its the next patch, could still be testing on PBE), however its only the stun portion and you will still take damage from the tether until you move out or range and break it. As for Warwick i they should do the same, cleanse the stun but you will still take damage.

Malzahar and Warwick have Suppression, which is very, very, very different from Stun. Suppression utterly shuts down every input command you can do to your champ - items actives, abilities, summoner spells. Everything.

A stun allows you to still use summoner spells and item actives so that you can purge the stun with things like Cleanse or QSS.

Cleanse and QSS do not work, never have worked, and will not ever work to get rid of Supression on champions like Malzahar or Warwick.

QSS does work on them, cleanse doesnt.

That is how it works. But not with Cleanse.

Step 1: Play Tahm Kench against Warwick. Step 2: Ally gets ulted by Warwick. Step 3: Devour ulted ally.

You effectively remove the CC, but Warwick still miraculously lands all his damage despite the fact the target is in Kench's gut.
