To everyone who says range is op.
Just a quick reminder that EVERY season without fail, multiple melee champions are s tier picks in pro play and in casual play.
This is a constant. There is always multiple “op” picks that are melee.

Yasuo is the highest tier "ADC" right now. Just some food for thought.

I’m aware. And it’s stupidly annoying because of the lack of counterplay.

It is. But even then. As soon as a melee get on top of a ranged champion the ranged champions is basically forced to flash or die. Melee kits are just so much better.

Frozen mallet, rage passives, deadman’s, ghost, rightiois glory, inbuilt slows, there is waaaaaaay more than enough ms steroids and slows for melee to get on anyone but maybe talon and riven.

Most of those are not items many fighters would want to rush, not to mention many ranged champions have slows, CCs and/or MS boosts themselves (
etc.)
Almost all melee kits have a way to mitigate that problem, and compensating AD ratios to overcompensate as well.
For example,
literally has a 300% AD scaling on Heartseeker Strike, that ALSO turns any autos/Spears into CRITS if targets are under 15%. He has 2 leaps in his kit to almost guarantee that he gets his stun off, and almost the entirety of Heartseeker strike is over before you even have a chance to move.
gets 2 dashes and a stun attached to them, and literally 1 shots with them.
can 100-0 anyone without even building damage, and has movement speed which is really hard to mitigate except on a few champions.
Slows any runners, and has a short cooldown spin-dash. Does so much damage on low HP he can shred anyone when built correctly.
Trying to act like getting there is hard is just ludicrous. This argument would have a leg to stand on if most adcs and mages had just as many dashes/movement speed items that were also damage/defense increasing/reducing, but they don't. Jax's leap slam is literally one of the best gap closers in the game, and there is nothing any single champions can do to mitigate it long enough to kill him late game.

Pantheon is one of the few divers who have little problem against range champs because of his kit. However, one error could negatively snowball him, and he's mana dependent early. And his ult doesn't really count as a dash given how telegraphed it is. Doesn't Renekton's second dash depend on landing the first? Volibear is dependent on having his passive and sticking to his target as long as possible (his burst is circumstantial). Tryndarmere is broken (good and bad way); his kit is janky and hard to use, his slow depends on the opponent not being clever enough to spin around to avoid the slow, and CC can screw him if it denies him autos. Even then, if he gets kills, he'll snowball anyway...and stick to splitpushing, so he's barely useful in general.
And ALL this is dependent on knowing you're facing a ranged top in the first place, which can be hard to judge given marksman have been played in bot, top and even mid and jg, and many mages can play support or mid as well.
Trying to act like there's a definitive counter to this problem is rather arrogant and conceited. This counterargument would have a leg to stand on if there were more convenient options against such cheese (terms of price and ease of play), but there seldom is. And you can ruin Jax's early game so badly that he's stuck in perpetual midgame in later stages (also, "Leap strike" not slam).
Because melee champions HAVE to be ridiculously overpowered or theyre not able to do anything. They should get more access to mobility, like how most assassins are melee. But Lucian exists so that failed.

No. Just no. If bruisers get more mobility than they already have with their endless pile of ms steroids, they actually become the only playable class in the game. By miles.
You can’t have, unkillable tank, insane mobility, free sustain, burst damage, dps, true damage, armor shred, and hard cc on the same champion. That’s not balanced in the slightest.
I basically described pre nerf Irelia. Jesus Christ rito.
Because most people on the boards who complain don’t know how to actually fight ranged top laners effectively as melee champs.
