So Lee is giving you problems Bot Lane? I have a Solution

CarameI Frappe··2 votes·2,198 views

Been seeing a lot of threads on here, Reddit, and so on about Lee being an issue. Granted, his win rate is above 50% and he's picked non stop with a very strong early / mid / late game presence that gets people's blood running. I understand, I truly do, especially after the jungle changes. All Lee needs to do is do Red -> Krugs -> Hit 3 then gank bot lane before you even reach level 2. Nightmare fuel right? Well, what if I told you there's a champion that can easily make your life easier bot lane and is a reliable support? An off-meta choice for support but she does the job.

Poppy Oh, you landed Q on my ADC? http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/leagueoflegends/images/c/c3/Steadfast_Presence.png/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/64?cb=20161031085417&format=webp Try it, I dare you.

Poppy You flashed behind my ADC at tower to kick her towards the lane? http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/leagueoflegends/images/7/79/Heroic_Charge.png/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/64?cb=20161031085419&format=webp Give that tower a hug!

Poppy Wait a second, you and the others are on my ADC. http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/leagueoflegends/images/f/f2/Keeper%27s_Verdict.png/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/64?cb=20161031085421&format=webp Team Rocket is blasting off again!

In lane, her http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/leagueoflegends/images/5/57/Iron_Ambassador.png/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/64?cb=20161031085414 gives her protection from pokes, her tankiness helps with surviving most, and her kit is equipped in protecting your team. No doubt she's stronger as a Top Laner or Jungler because she can build to her full potential but all you need is item 3401 item 2045 item 3117 and the items based on the enemy comp ... and you're ready to be the Hero of Demacia a good counter to Lee ganking your bot lane or hell, even in any lane you go to with Lee trying to start trouble.

Note: If you guys have any tips / hints / advise about dealing with Lee, feel free to share them here! Just thought i'd help the community out in what Support / Champion does well against the guy. Also if you have criticism for me, feel free to share that too because it could help me improve as a Poppy Support main :)

i think an easier solution is for people to expect it and play around it. Stay in range to safely escape and even Super Lee can't dive at 2 minutes in.

P.S Poppy support is pretty cool

While that's a good tip, I don't see why people can't play Poppy support (this is especially true if you were assigned support and the jungler doesn't pick her). She's fun, reliable, and besides that- why not have a jungler AND support that ruins Lee's attempts at anything? :D

I'm not surprised people question her as a support, because it's off-meta. But after playing her over 30+ games and having a good score + record of keeping my team alive, I say she's pretty good at her job even though she is stronger for Top / Jungle.

Poppy is an okay support if the opponent is a Braum/Leona/Alistar or you have a Lucian/Graves ADC. Basically a counter engage with engage champion that negates dash escapes. The only major issue with the pick is her ability to harass is almost nonexistent. Her passive is a mid range poke that she should be harassed to even attempt. It's actually shorter range than Thresh's AA harass. And you can't rely on the shield to fall in a good place. As your opponents get better, you simply won't be able to do anything and will take damage even attempting to proc your relic shield (your passive does work for this).

IMO... Alistar is probably the better pick. He has better sustain to survive poke and can break up a Lee gank reliably.

Good advise you have, and i'm certainly (and sadly) aware of her cons against other supports. When I play her, I like to act as a bodyguard and ensure my ADC farms safely; also to go in when the rival bot lane makes mistakes / goes on my ADC for me to punish them.

Thresh seems to give me some issues, due to never being near a wall and harassing me in lane. Luckily my W blocks him from flying to my ADC when hooking them and my bash can certainly push their ADC away from reaching mine.

Alistar Seems better for her job as bodyguard / tanking, but the issue I found was Lee would still bypass / get away from him. His jumps (or ward hoping I should say) was difficult to stop, and if I failed at stunning him with my slam, he would get my ADC. I found Poppy better because if he's anywhere near my barrier with W active, his jump fails completely and my ADC can retreat / go on them.

Still you made valid points and I appreciated your thoughts on this topic friend :) good points for people to consider too.

Doesn't do anything level one unless you decide to take W first, since taking E puts you in the middle of a 1v3. And even taking W means you can't do anything even before Lee comes (if he comes)

Happened twice in my games with Poppy, but i've had Lee gank me at level 2 which I luckily had E + W on me. Once he did Q to jump onto me, I just pressed W and he bounced off. Decided to head back into the enemy bush lol. Buuuutt the second I went to bash a Karma into the wall, he did Q onto me and immediately flew before I could press W. Had to summoner 4 over our wall to escape him, Karma and Vayne since I didn't think he'd waste a full minute waiting for us to push lane. I barely got out of there but luckily I was prepared for the other game Lee came around, yet he got pinned to the wall next to tower and died lol. He was level 4 ...... and we were 3. I mean our ADC was low so he got tempted to try killing my Ashe.

Still I think SGT Dingle Berry said it best- just play safe and have wards up when Lee's around but out of vision.
