New Season same old Placements

Hi Riot,

I feel a bit let down. I was hopeful that this season you'd get the placements right. But alas, I feel cheated by placements for a second year in a row. My team was fine, their team was fine, it was a knock out drag out fight and in the end we lost. Hell the game felt great, so I suppose I should give credit, the players I played with felt more in tune with my skill set then in the prior year, which is a good improvement if it lasts.

In fact out of ten players, all were mid Silver in the prior year. Which is why I feel cheated after one game vs 9 season 8 Silver players, I was given the provisional rank BIV. Take a look at my prior two years, this one and the last do you think that's fair? It doesn't feel that way.

I understand that I can go higher, I understand that I could win the rest of my games, but realistically the odds of that are close to zero.

Why, especially if I place in bronze AGAIN after 2 full seasons in Silver, don't you acknowledge the hard grinding by players who make it to whatever rank in the PRIOR year? Why do you discount that?

I've said this in a myriad of posts, for the love of EARTH can you stop placing people in the tier below where the ended in the prior season. It his one of the most frustrating things about the game. What benefit is there behind placing someone a Tier below anyhow? To me it makes little sense.

And yes all the eventual posters, I know that tried and true bullshit response of "If you don't belong in x y our climb out". I am confident I will climb out of bronze if that is where I pace . However, as I've stated prior posts, those games I spend grinding bronze AGAIN, coud be games Im grinding in Silver twoards Gold.

Riot, consider scrapping this system, it feels cheap.
