Why does Nauti do so much damage?

To my knowledge he can only do that early game where base damage > scalings

All tanks, when doing a full rotation, will chunk a squishy. But never 100-0.

OP has never faced the fury of a Malphite, or the slow but sure death of being caught by Rammus.

The thing with naut is that he's actually very easy for your team to stop. If your squishies aren't getting any peels at all, he's a complete monster and will wreck your day.. but one tank standing in front of his q and applying any cc at all will mean all he gets to do is ult and hope his team can pick up the kill off of that.

I wasn't aware that Nautilus could one-shot.

Honestly, the only time he does have that power is until about level 8. Before that, he can do wonderful single-target damage and even slightly better AoE. But that's where it stops. If an ADC is at half-health a full rotation will kill them, yeah. If they're at full health, Naut requires them to stick around and try to fight him if he wants that kill.
