had someone say that a champion was no skill, because they had no "skillshots".

Idk when this became established, but it's been a long time coming, and people need to get over this stupid idea that somehow simply having skillshots on a champion is a measure of how much skill they take to play competently.

I'm not going to give the average person much credit, most people aren't aware of their own conflation of ideas, so i'm willing to bet that people think that a champion who has to aim more of their abilities somehow inherently displays more skill to play successfully. SMH, now i remember why i hate this game.

This mindset has been with very little players. The only ones who get that mindset are people who get stomped by Vayne/Garen/Yasuo/Riven. Mainly Garens mains get it. And I can see Tryndamere mains get it, but then again I always just pick Rammus and rush a thornmail and watch them kill themselves on me.

I find it to be the opposite. Where it's only ever the player who are playing champions with a few skillshots, which use it as an excuse as to why they're champion isn't an "easy" champion to play. Even though the skillshots might sometimes be the only thing in the kit which actually displays any degree of skill on the champion.

To them, skillshots are a direct display of skill, because the champions they play are given so many handicaps, it's the only noticeable difference between a good and bad player.
