Why isn't Corki adc a thing ?

As a supp main i got paired up with Corki adc - never saw it before - but he did a pretty good job (in ranked game)

Why dont more people try Corki adc?

Usually it was picked when you had alot of ad in the team just to mix some ap damage into the team.

2 things are different now

A full ad team isnt that bad now considering defencive stats are terrible now.

Kog kaisa and ez bring ap damage and either spike harder or quicker than corki.

It used to be corki's main role. Im pretty sure it changed to mid because of his passive giving him really good roaming and 1v1 potential.

Armor needs buffs and marksmen ADCs need to not be mandatory in the meta. Then you will see Corki and a few APCs (including ap on-hit marksmen) competing in bot lane. The meta should strongly encourage a magic damage carry like Corki in bot lane to balance out a composition if your team already has AD damage dealers, like an AD fighter top and an AD assassin mid. Unfortunately, AD is not strongly countered by armor stacking, and AD champions building penetration or dealing true damage, like Vayne, tends to be the go-to counter vs tanks instead of mixed damage compositions...
