Sylas's ultimate kinda saddens me.

I am a pretty big fan of Sylas's kit. It's not extremely overtuned and it's not trying to be extremely extravagant, it's somewhat simple but not boring, and it's fun to play as.

The problem, in my opinion, lies in his ultimate. I think it feels really forced. He's just this dude who swings around chains, simple, easy design. Then he steals ultimates.. what? I'd think that this ability would be on a mage who's lore/gameplay specifically point towards them being some sort of spell-thief.

I think there's so many things you can do with his ultimate to perpetuate the fighter sorta playstyle that the rest of his kit points towards, the possibilities are endless.

Hell, you can just have something where he whirls his chains in a direction and does damage and knocks people up, and that would have extremely cool visuals. Just something that isn't thrown in for the sake of being "new and innovative".

I feel like this is some untouched potential.

uhhhhhhhhhhhh

Sylas in lore is a spell thief, its like a huge part of his backstory. He steals magic. He uses chains because they enhance his powers. His q is him realesing the magic the chains have stored up. his w is him stealing away life from his enemies with his touch.

I strongly disagree. Sylas's themes fit perfectly with his kit. He's using the chains that held him down as weapons while also turning his oponents' power against them.
