ARAM should be pseudo-random, not random.

We all know that every time you don't crit, you increase your chance of critting on the next autoattack. It's not totally random.

In ARAM, the same thing should happen with the champions chosen - they shouldn't be totally random. Rather, they should be separated into various tiers of power, and ensured that both teams have equal numbers of champions from each pool.

Ex. Tier 1: Sona, Kog'Maw, Varus, Ziggs Tier 2: Sivir, Azir Tier 3: Vayne, Thresh Tier 6: Eve, Rek'Sai

Just some examples. If it was pseudo-random, then each team would get 2 tier 1's, and one of each of the others I've named.

This would ensure that both teams have a roughly equal chance of winning, while still keeping the "random" nature of aram intact. This would thus also solve the issue of aram smurfs.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm sick and tired of facing a team with Sona, Ezreal, and Kog'Maw with a team of short ranged & melee champions.

I just go bruiser/fighter eve and destroy people with that trinity ravage proc and the 2.00 attack speed for a few seconds.

Selected eve purely because of her winrate, which is the second worst in ARAM at 37%. I've met some terrifying eve's on aram :)

Too difficult.

Some champions are good in ARAM, but against certain compositions are horrible.

Imagine being a heavy poke/sustain composition but the enemy team is lots of AoE Engage/Burst

Or if your teams a bunch of squishies and the enemy team is a bunch of bruisers.

Or if you're 5 mages and they have a Galio.

Or your Braum and the enemy team ISN'T a poke team.

I've seen a Trundle hard carry an ARAM because he could ult one of the several enemy team tanks then kill whoever he pleased.

I've seen a Nocturne be the sole reason a team could kill the enemies Varus.

I saw a Katarina with a negative KDA because the enemy team all had CC.

A Poppy who pooped onto an AP Kog'maw in every fight.

An AP Rek'sai who outpoked a Nidalee

Exactly, randomly different teamcomps are what make it interesting. Having a heavy poke/sustain comp vs AoE engage/burst seems fair to me. There are lots of case scenarios, and different situations where one champion who's usually terrible annihilated everything. On top of that different people are good at different champions.

Some case scenarios are kinda off to me though. If the enemy team has a Sona, I want a Nidalee or a Ziggs or a raka or SOMETHING that's decent at aram, because if not then it'll be really difficult dealing with her. Individually we can state the power of certain champions, how they fit together is how aram will still be the aram we love.

ARAM? Do you really think it is random right now? Somehow I see Lux Sivir MasterYi every second game and Poppy Urgot Nocturne like two times a year.

Consider for a moment how many people own those champions, and rerolls. Sivir and Yi are 450 IP champions that pretty much everyone in existance owns, but the amount of people who own urgot is relatively low. If half the people who get urgot reroll him too....

it's not really about rerolling you can own every single champion and there are about 8 champions you have a 95% chance of getting. Which changes every week or two. In fact I would say your more likely to get a champion that you don't see as often if you reroll then if you just kept the champion you got. Which then your more likely to lose because the champion they give you usually sucks against the team comp the enemy has or doesn't fit with yours. (Which is why we probably get the same champions all the time the game tries to make the teams somewhat close and fair by picking champions from the champion pools the players have) and since the players don't own all the champions the options are limited therefor you get the same champions and then the champions that are picked changes every week because the champions out on free week change the options the games have to make somewhat balanced teams.

I dont think thats enough to explain why Ashe is in 9 times as many games as Trundle.

Rerolls are strong.

ya it is psuedo random, though the random champions most likely to be chosen seem to change every week for instant when I made a smurf and leveled up playing arams I regretted buying poppy because I literally had to play that champion in almost every single arams game and when I didn't have it someone else did and I quickly got bored of that. And other then that the random champions do seem to change every several weeks.

The problem is Aram accounts that only have great aram champs on them.

You should just get one free reroll every aram game that doesn't get added to your earned rerolls. That way every game you have at least one chance to try and improve your pick even if you don't have any rerolls stored up. If you can't accept your first OR second roll, after that it makes sense to restrict rerolls to an earned number to prevent abuse.
