Honest question, according to boards Darius counters most melee, why isn't he used in LCS?

Every time I say Darius needs a change for the better or somebody else says it on boards, it is met with comments saying Darius counters most, if not all melee and doesn't deserve a buff.

Why wasn't he used during the Renekton menace? They are basically the same champions in their job of shutting down the enemy laner, why isn't Darius used to fight Renekton not only in LCS, but in solo queue?

Remember when Mundo and Shyvana were op? They are also melee and going off of boards, Darius shits all over them.

Yet he isn't used.

Have you thought for a second that he doesn't just AUTO WIN against melees, but requires a little bit of thought or hell, those melees are STRONGER than him or can DEAL with him?

Jax was op for a while and again, people say Darius is one of his hardest counters yet NOBODY USES HIM FOR A REASON.

What is that reason boards, according to what I have read these past few months about Darius, he facerolls with no counterplay in lane 24/7 if he is against a melee champ.
