Katarina gets a pentakill every 61 games
For people that don't believe how easy it is to get a penta as Kat.

In other words, every 61 games the enemy team picks 0 CC champs and starts fights without Kat being there (allowing her to just run in and clean up the fight).

She has a high win rate even with the most popular champions having cc to stop her. You automatically lose a fight if you honestly think having 1 guy not using any abilities in a fight just to stop her ult is a smart idea.
I'm not sure what you are even saying, to be honest. Try rewording it.
When you have a cc heavy kit, or at least one cc skill, you should at least save one spell to interrupt a carry's ability or to disable and eliminate a carry.
Take Sejuani, for example. Her ult is a pretty good intiator, as is her Q. In a teamfight, it's pretty stupid to waste both of them in the span of two seconds. If you're against Katarina, you should be saving one spell just for her. If you blow all your cc on the tank/frontline at the very beginning of a teamfight, you have nothing to defend yourself against.
Katarina is an ability power carry. She is, by default, a priority when it comes to cc. You can't ignore the tank, but you don't have to waste everything on 'em.

My point was, she is the highest win rate mid laner while some of the most popular champions in multiple roles have hard CC, and the most picked supports have more than one way to interrupt her, not only that but she isn't even the only threat on a team. Just CCing her obviously isn't counter play if she is winning 55% with lots of CC being picked.
shrugs
Timing the cc is important. Just wait until she ults to pop that knock up.
But I won't deny she's strong. A 55% winrate is pretty troublesome. I don't get why Rito plans to nerf Sej the week she becomes strong but has ignored Kat for so long. Kat is manageable, but that doesn't mean she's 100% balanced.
Cause that's the only way you can get a penta right? From enemy team's stupidity?
I mean, with a champ like Kat, pretty much.
if no cc were the requirement, then yi would have the same frequency, but yi is every 101 games
not even going to start on how BS "just cc her" is
Nope, Yi is different in many ways than kat.
And ok, I'll play your game. Pick Fiddles. Drain her whenever she tries to do something. Laugh at her inability to do it. You could also build early MR. If kat doesn't get fed early, her job is really really hard. Ward bot lane so she can't roam for easy doubles. Have your tank champ peel her. Don't start fights if she isn't there and you don't know where she is. She will jump in and kill you when all your team's abilities are done.
There are plenty of things you can do to completely stop her. She either gets really fed or she sucks, in my opinion. I RARELY see a Kat do well in team fights if not fed early.
Even better, just Exhaust her. I bring Exhaust every time I see her in a game. She never gets kills when I'm anywhere near her.
Also true for yi.
FINALLY someone who realizes that ignite isn't the only spell you can take to mid.
compare cooldowns kats ult is beetwen a minute and a second depending on resets exshaust is every 210 seconds
not to mention zhonya that kat can buy so owerall the ballance is in her fawour because she holds the trigger
0 cc team ? which world do you live in ? nowadays every champion has at least a knockup
so katarina gets a penta every 61 games despite her enemies always being able to stop her with cc
Just pick Fiddles and laugh at her.
Does that number count normals, ARAMs, Bot matches, anything like that? Because every time I play a bot match and there's a Katarina, there's a 50% chance of her getting a pentakill.
That's some cool stats though. Love the QSS stat.
I get Jinx pentas far more than every 141 games.
I was playing in Normal draft (where for some reason I am with and against Bronzies) and I got a penta first game of the day as Kat.
I wasn't even playing all that well, they were just so awful that I was able to Q-E-R-E-W-W-E-W-Q-W-E for a penta under their turret.
They had instant CC, they just were too slow to stop me.
Granted I was kind of fed, but they did have the window to kill me, they just sucked too bad.
That's why Kat gets so many pentas. Her champ exploits incompetence.
She's a champion whose performance depends on how bad the enemies are. Just like Master Yi, but better.
She's a champion whose performance depends on how bad the enemies are. Just like Master Yi, but better.
This is incorrect though. She's a champion that "can" abuse lack of performance from her enemies. Which is exactly why her weaknesses are completely void when the enemy just makes so many mistakes where it's important to shut her down.
What's more impressive is that she gets the most pentakills in every single division individually; except Masters where she comes in second.
I never expected a champion designed to kill as much as she can to get a penta. kappa I did.
What's the point of that? Thresh, Zed or Jarvan IV are far better champions than Katarina but don't get pentas as often. You know why? Because they aren't designed to kill everything.
who would doubt that a mage with heavy aoe gets pentas often she also loses 1v1 vs quite a lot of champions too
Kat is designed to get penta kills, her aoe and CDR is just how the champion works.
That said i think she has a little to much safety when it comes to the laning phase. No resource and a ranged farm ability with an instant teleport, it's a wonder she loses lane half the time.
Actually, she is counterd by quite a lot of mids(
,
and
are so annoying to play against)
