How do you survive hyper-mobile camping?
A few days ago, I had a ranked game where I was first or second pick mid. My mid lane main is Katarina, but she got banned. So I went with Lux, because I'm pretty decent at her and I made a guess that the enemy team was going to play something less mobile since they banned a high-mobility assassin.
Well, they must have changed their mind after seeing my pick, because they chose Fizz. Now, I've played against enough Fizzes in my time on League to know that I needed to play safe against him and wait for his trollpole before I attempt to snare him. I was playing a cautious lane, farmed decently, died only once to him because the Hecarim jg forced me out of completing my execute combo when I finally got my Q on Fizz.
After that, my life became hell.
Hecarim kept camping me, and it didn't matter how safe I played at that point. I would stand under, even behind my own turret, and Hecarim would just ult and knock me against the wall while Fizz would ult with his "skillshot". CCing Hecarim's undodgeable dash doesn't work (I've even tried flashing out of it. It still carries you.), Fizz wasn't ever in a killable position for me, and Hecarim was never punished for turret diving because turrets might as well be Nerf guns to him.
I fed my butt off that game thanks to their focus. I think I barely was able to finish my first full item that game. Bot and top lane weren't doing so hot either, so they couldn't make up ground for my feeding. It was just the most frustrating, hopeless feeling I've had, being R'd by two mobile and oftentimes CC-immune champs. I felt so bad for bringing my team down, especially in a ranked game where I always try to do my very best. But there was literally nothing I could do except just abandon lane.
How am I supposed to deal with this kind of situation? I know my jungler should be there for me to relieve the pressure, but then again I understand that my jungler needs to not invest too much energy into a lane that is feeding.
