why is ardent censer still not hotfixed?

there are abuse cases with the item. are you seriously just waiting for a whole patch cycle until you fix the ability of certain champions just stacking the thing?

Standard Riot practice so yep.

its seriously retarded. we have to ban a couple of champions for a whole patch, because someone at riot forgot to put a UNIQUE PASSIVE tag on it, and nobody noticed.

at least i hope to god that it just slipped through and they werent actually blind enough to not see that coming.

i mean... what DID they expect? shit like this is acceptable in preseason, but not mid season.

Yeah, you should be able to stack that +healing/shield power effect, but not with multiple copies of the same item.

id argue that letting ardent cencer and mikaels crucible alone stack on certain champions is already a risky move.

i dont exactly know how this stacks, but lets take the best case scenario and assume it only stacks additive to 30%. i mean. thats a lot on soraka.

It was intended to be a lot on soraka. She was recently nerfed and this kinda made up for it

this is still dumb, because 30% is already such a noticable increase that shed have to be nerfed enough to make her dependent on stacking the 2 items.

they could have nerfed her less and make the items not stack instead, and have soraka players chose themselves which one they want in each individual game.

but well. right now its not only about soraka stacking 2 heal increase items, but some champions like vlad being able to stack 4 or 5 of them.

swain aswell. shits ridiculous.

the potential problem with that is, you would end up making soraka less item dependent. Now generally, supports shouldn't be too item dependent. but if your going to have a primer Healer, that could get problematic if not shut down, Then you probably make sure she at least has to build for her healing, and not just get it by default.

They stated while it was on the PBE that they'd have to nerf Soraka because of this new stat, which in and of itself means it's not a good stat to ever introduce because it will require her to build it to be relevant if they gut her heals because it exists. A unique tag would go a long way in preventing unnecessary nerfs and abuse cases, as would the clause that it only affects your heals and shields on others, since this stat was 100% intended for supports and no one else.

It was always intended to stack between different items. It just wasn't intended to stack the SAME item multiple times.

That's what Riot needs to hotfix. Hopefully they'll do so while I'm away for all of next week (my connection out in the countryside isn't nearly good enough for actual play; I'd have upwards of 2K ping).

Don't worry, it won't affect the glorious LCS! They are protected like little lambs. Only the majority of the player base has to deal with this so it's ok.

What's going on? Who's abusing the item and how?

well, everyone with heals/self heals/shields and ap scaling can abuse it pretty heavily.

vlad is one offender. he can just stack 5 of those things with a deathcap and end up at decent ap wth almost 4k health. he will heal to full health from being almost dead with a single charged q.

Except the healing buff doesn't work on self healing effects... Riot made sure that it only works on supports by ensuring that the effect does not work on heals and shields on onesself so that it doesn't get abused by Vlad or Swain. Hell it doesn't even trigger on Soraka's Self buff from Q.

it doesnt say anything about that on the item. and the post game statistics of vlads ive seen suggest otherwise.

vlads heal is also increased by the support mastery. he just doesnt get the resistance bonus.

ardent censer doesnt increase your own attack speed but the heal bonus works on self heals.

Kind of reminds me of the good old days when Archangel's Staff's AP buff stacked.
