I mean he does a lot of damage. He has a pull, tons of CC and decent cooldowns. He's a got a steroid [W] for pushing lane and tower. Can be built as a tank mage. He can play safe instead of having to commit hard like other supports, he can just wait till his pull is on CD.
What is he intended to be then?

Piantissimo1 votesi've been playing him all over the park, a low CD 1second knockup, decent base damages on his ult and ult passive.
also his ult passive is stupid, the way it works is if something has been in radii for 2.5 seconds it will then go off and hit it, which means in lane you basically won't ever hit the opponent it will always hit the minion closest, in a 1v1 without minions around though, that extra DPS is just a worse version of jax's ult passive and you can't activate it or you lose the effect unlike jax.
next his mana shield is pretty useless, 50% current mana even with a mana friendly build with righteous glory and frozen heart is still pretty poor since your main spells cost a lot and by the time you are brought down to it popping it is barely noticeable.
his spells in lane aren't strong enough either, his W doesn't give him damage, his Q is shaky and offers a free gap closer for the opponent (in top lane) his E is his main spell and it doesn't even scale on levels.
if you did play him in a solo lane, go Blem style play him mid and roam bot whenever you get the chance (requires 6 or you can't clear wave).
he is really flawed, no saying you can't do it, but it is basically a worse version of a lot of champions in any role you put it in.
