No seriously guys, this guy counters Assassins if brought Middle Lane and is now tanky enough while still dealing damage, allowing him to survive against Marksman/Assassins like Jhin and Quinn. He is an effective counter to the current meta in his current state and should seriously be picked by all you folks wanting to find a way around the current meta. A few currently meta champions counter him, like Varus, but most others are either an even or favorable match up for the big C.

LS says Cho' gath has bad match ups mid. Can someone please give me examples? To me a champ like Cho with exhaust should have a place in the meta. IMO Cho, Kayle, and Kassadin should be the champs you pick to counter mid assassins.

Please stop... Cho'Gath hasn't been countering any assassins at all ever since the nerfs to his silence on patch 6.24. Now his early game is even weaker, with a slight boost to his late game IF you get fed enough to kill people with your ultimate. I have over 300k mastery points with Cho'Gath. I've learned the ins and outs for him. If you want to counter assassins, try playing Galio.
