Okay Galio's Q needs a mana cost and less damage

Darth Sidiouss··2 votes·760 views

@title the on impact hit plus bonus damage ticks + thunderlord proc is a bit over whelming walking in allows him to use the other half of his unused rotation the mana cost is like nothing at all he can spam the Q for days its honestly broken in lane phase.

EDIT: I KNOW he has an actual mana cost for Q im just stating it needs an actual appropriate cost.

It's getting less damage on the PBE.

tank galio suffers, losing % health damage. 0 AP builds.

but AP galio is getting buffed by an extra 15%.

Galio Colossal Smash (Passive) damage lowered from 15-100 to 12-80.

Winds of War (Q) : AP ratio increased from 60% to 75% Combined tornado damage lowered from 9% to 6% of enemies Maximum health.

basically any AP build is instantly better.

and the 3% difference 162(9%) vs 108(6%) damage assuming an 1800 hp champ. (carries)

but the added 15% scaling means anyone over 64AP or more gets a net damage buff against carries.

against tanks with say... 4000hp 360 bonus now 240 ( 120 damage lost) will now need 141AP or more to deal the difference.

soooo..... galios getting buffed? not nerfed?

i mean any galio with just a RoA and 100AP will see no change, and if theres an abyssal involved and then rest tank, you'll actually see a damage increase.

It means that Galio will rely more on AP if he wants to hurt people after laning I guess.

So better for AP Galio.

Very Hard Engage1 votes

i mean 6 item full tank galio usually includes roa... (at the least)

Ralanr1 votes

You're point? By your observations, a more AP built Galio will do better damage now.

Very Hard Engage1 votes

whats your galio build thats full tank?

IBG - > treds/tabis -> sunfire -> spirit visage ? and then fill?

10/10 galios i see building roa every time first.

Ralanr1 votes

I'm saying more AP heavy Galio's will do more damage. I know Galio has at least one AP item in his tank build.

Very Hard Engage1 votes

meaning there wont be any damage loss at all even for tank galio.

his passive is whats getting nerfed. (ever so slightly)

Losing 52 damage seems to be a loss.

Wth?????

Why are they giving a tank a 115% AP ratio...

Why does a tank have such good AP ratios in the first place... it's not even tied to long cooldowns...

His Q needs a bigger cooldown, tbh. What always happens is that you dodge the first Q, you go in, the E hits you because of huge hitboxes and because you're going in, he taunts you, and then he throws another Q and you either run and massively lose the trade since you already ate most of his damage, and also eat at least 2 Q AoE procs, or you continue to fight and get hit by all 3 Q procs.

pre-rework Galio could already shove waves even quicker... stop crying. He did have more trouble with his mana, but that wasn't a problem when all he was doing was cast two spells per wave.

idc about him shoving waves its just the damage and spam

The cooldown is the real problem (and the 300 damage no matter how far behind he is because it's almost impossible to avoid at least some of the DPS if you don't burn a dash or if he misses it badly). What always happens to me is that I dodge the first one, but by the time I go in (couple seconds later, gotta walk backwards to dodge the Q) or because he's tanky, while I'm autoing him, he just E's (hits because of huge hitbox) and throws down another Q for the full 400+ damage.

and his waveclear is just too much, he's a tank that can shove in a midlaner that should not happen

hes an anti mage so yes he can shove mages but he loses to talon and zed

Tanks who build armor and still manage to kill squishy champions do not lose to assassins.

Ralanr1 votes

Almost like being squishy means you die easy.

... So you're only making my point stronger here.

if he builds armor then he doesn't deal as much damage as he would if he build mr since some of his abilities scale with mr, thus galio has a choice go damage or survive and with lethality out there he would also need to build hp. I have seen a lot of people take galio down with ad assassins in mid and top lane in all tiers

Sion has good waveclear. As does Nautilus and Poppy.

Tanks can shove lanes.

They don't oneshot waves at level 1.

I play Galio with AP runes. I'm not one shotting waves with my Q at level one.

Mizuki Zahra1 votes
