PBE patch..... I only have one concern: Jinx

Get Excited (Passive) Attack speed no longer stacks Attack Speed uncaps when Jinx is excited

bonus attack speed increased from 30/40/50/60/70% to 30/55/80/105/130% Minigun attack speed no longer scales with Jinx's level "Jinx's first attack after switching from rockets to minigun comes out within .4 seconds of swapping (instead of waiting for her full attack timer). "Updated Rocket attack animations to feel snappier."

I'm just going to out and say it. I do think that nonstacking passive is much healthier for Jinx. After she has 1 kill or a turret, she's just had the highest potential to pentakill in the game, and is heavily enabled in doing so by life leech and energy stack heals.

But, I do have a concern or two:

Putting her attack speed scaling on Q levels alone results in a situation where by level 8, Jinx has her max Attack speed. This is going to snowball even without getting those early kills. With 2 items she is going to have 2.5 Attack speed by level 8 (Precision bonus+ base +Q, overcapped by passive).

That's just broken as hell. Rapid Fire Cannon is going to be reset far faster, and when she switches to Rocket, she will still have the attack speed, and an insane range which she normally only has "some times" late game.

You're basically Steroiding her core competency: 900+ range chase pokes resetting on her passive which leave anyone she's chasing no real options: turn and die by the time they react, or keep on running, and die anyways. There's almost no opportunities to get far enough away from Jinx while she's in her passive to let it wear off before she kills her next target.

She's basically become more of an Assassin than an adc, because she both has the mobility and the damage to control the game once she's got her passive going.

Btw, is there still going to be a "Quest" on Talisman of Ascension or Frost Queen? Atm, from what I read, the quest is going to be reworked into wards, but that only applies to Ward based progression.

Will Talisman or Queen still have their move speed quests?

As far as support items go, i believe the quests rewards became the sightstone actives. But the old actives will be gone. The items don't split off into two final items anymore, the sightstone item is the only final item. The older actives will probably be reworked into their own items at some point.

But as far as the jinx buffs go, Riot August actually gave the reasons on the Jinx mains subreddit

Here's another comment from him over her general state from a week ago.

The quest rewards for the EYE line will become the sightstone. It says nothing about the Question of what happens to the quest active on the three NON Eye builds (item 3069 item 3401 item 3092

They had questlines too. But there's nothing in the descriptions on the PBE patch which says that they will get wards too.

No, theres only one questline for the starting support items now. The way it will work is sightstone is gone, upgrading the item and completing its quest will turn give the player the sightstone active on that item. The old item actives are gone, replaced by sightstone. There are only eye builds now.

Wow. That's going to ruin Support. Some supports revolve around having a Talisman of Ascendancy. Frost queen is iffy and Face is iffy, but Talisman is a strong core item. The acceleration and armor were really the only way to survive some early game assassins. Without it, We're going to see a lot of people quitting support and maybe the game altogether.

They aren't doing themselves favors forcing ward builds. Wards kill just as many people as they save. Players who know what they're doing know they exist. If every support is going to meta it, I guarantee Duskblade will be even a harder meta, and more deaths will occur as more champs hide in bushes anticipating a warding cycle. As soon as a support reaches a bush, they are going to get 1v3'd.

Here's an idea: give supports a secondary active like Duskblade's so they too can destroy wards. If they don't this change is gonna perma give lee sin 8 wards to jump to.

Btw I don't care what he has to say because he's arguing Jinx Wrong. She's a Jekyl and Hyde Champ. She's manageable when she's Not Excited. When she's Excited she can proc Energy charges so fast there is no counterplay and with her move speed boost, there's also no escape. When Fishbones is up, she literally has a 820 range, and her move speed means she can reset that range about every 2-3 hits. When you combine that with life steal or various sustains, she can literally outrange 90% of the game's skills and deal 900 damage crits which aren't trades (unless it's a Tristana, there's no adc which rivals the range). At that point of the game she 2 hits adcs from a safe range, 3 hits juggernauts, and kills assassins outside their ranges.

Any real Jinx player knows this and literally doesn't fight unless they can get Excited. And now she's going to charge Energy stacks FASTER which means that she's going to orb in 2-3 more attacks per volley, and reset RFC in a sec or two less than she used to.

Not only that, she will have capped attack speed at level 8, when no other adc is even over 1.5, and before any jungler or support has any defense. She's going to snowball 3 times as often and get to a 56% or greater win rate as soon as this patch launches and she's going to have no counterplay other than being a bad player.

Nothing about this change is really a nerf but a hyper accelerator. She's already 50.95% win rate because of get Excited. She didn't need a buff. Now she's going to be brutal both in Get excited and outside it. She's going from Jekyll and Hyde to Hyde and Hyde on Steroids.
