Okay so now you're bringing up a different quote that still didn't say anything about their intentions. They apparently asked a small portion of the community their opinion and went with that, my main point is whether the people they asked were informed sufficiently. This is not some new or unknown thing I'm suggesting, this type of lack of consideration happens all the time even when there's tons of trained professionals and large amounts of money involved, and affects our lives as citizens daily. I don't know whether they just don't know what the best way to go was, so they decided to rely on their yearly email they send people to ask their opinion through a questionnaire like I've received at least 2 years in a row, or if it was something else. If it was that then they just narrowed down the players in a certain ELO and the pros and took their answers with more weight.
But if they as the quote I used showed, found a way to get an idea of what the community's desires were regarding this change, they probably didn't sit down with each of them individually, but instead asked them in some form as a community. Do I have proof that it went down like that? No and I don't need to have any either since I left open the possibility that I haven't yet come up with all of the infinite variances of ways this specific issue may have played out and the timeline including each specific choice each member of Riot staff made, and I'm aware of and accept that fact, however it's rather irrelevant to the points I made.
If you can point to the fact that they have not omitted the information rather than simply doing the same thing you're complaining about and second-guessing me, then you'd at least be able to show me the facts that I clearly had not yet looked up myself, and would be happy to be presented with. I still feel that it is extremely likely that the only reason they got the majority of pros and high level players to agree that it should be solo & duo rather than just solo, is because they whether intentionally or unintentionally omitted the fact that Flex Queue was a thing and the details behind it, and I will stand on that position until shown evidence to the contrary. I've seen plenty of instances where people are simply misinformed on an issue because they didn't take care to make sure of the accuracy of their interpretation of what they were presented with, it doesn't even always take having the information intentionally or unintentionally omitted.
I don't feel any need to give a corporate entity the benefit of the doubt, and I've plenty of personal reasons for why I feel that way.
I answered the questionnaire they emailed us last year but not this year because I'd largely stopped playing the game except to rack up IP in quick bot games, hoping some day they'd fix ranked so I can enjoy it again without being forced into DQ.
They can send the duo players into Flex Queue, if Flex Queue is replaced with 5-man only Queue, then bring back Solo/Duo... I guess....
Many players have been asking for Solo-only queue for many years from my understanding.
