Nasus could use some help

LyingOnLine··5 votes·701 views

He's been suffering for the past few patches, and could use a little help in order to do better and deal with the ever-shifting hellscape that is toplane.

And no, the midseason updates probably aren't going to do anything to help him.

So here's a few ideas, mostly focused on Q-max Nasus, and not the Quasus that people like to complain about and hold up as a bogeyman. Choose one you like and discuss how you think it would affect the Nasus and the game, or suggest one yourself!

  • 355 Base Movement Speed
  • 175 Base Attack Range
  • E cost changed from 70/85/100/115/130 mana to 60/70/80/90/100
  • Hitting Q-empowered autos grants 10% movement speed, decaying over 2 seconds. Killing a unit grants 20% decaying over 3.
  • W from 600 cast range to 700
  • Ult grants 100 cast range to spells
  • Passive from 10/15/20% lifesteal to 14/17/20%
  • Base attack speed to .668 from .638, growth to 3.1%/lvl from 3.48%/lvl.

I won't lie; Nasus (mostly Q-max) is kind of in a garbage spot right now, BUT :

  1. the patch with midseason tank item changes is gonna do a lot. The meta is likely going to favour him a bit more, and most of all resistances seem to be much more valuable, with the nerfs to black cleaver, last whisper and its upgrades. And Nasus powerlevel is very linked to the power of resistances (with his ult and natural synergy with resistance-based items ; due to lifesteal and cdr options). If Nasus lategame finally reaches a point where he actually fulfills the fantasy he represents (the lategame time bomb ; which is quite wrong right now as Nasus falls off lategame and is more of a "midgame if not too bullied" champ); maybe he deserves the weak laning he has right now.
  2. We have to be careful to balance all the versions of Nasus, by that I mean to consider E max Nasus. Among your buffs is a reduction of E mana cost. I am not quite sure it is a good idea. E max Nasus can be a quite powerful earlygame option, and he might become just the only way to play him and be very (too?) viable/powerful.
  3. Be extremely careful when you propose multiple buffs at once. They add up to general power and in the end, doing small buffs but a lot of them is dangerous as you can instantly put the champion in a completely dominant/must nerf spot. (edit : missread, ignore point 3)

You can just edit your post, you know.

Anyways, more resistances in the game is also not a picnic for Nasus. After all, he doesn't have any inbuilt pen, and his E's shred is flat. This means that he tends to hit for noodle damage against anybody who's built any amount of armor.

And lol, I wouldn't ever suggest any two of these at once, let alone all of them. Nasus could use a helping hand, not anointment and crowning.

His E does magic damage, not physical.

E is also not a major source of direct damage for Q-max Nasus. He mostly uses it for waveclear and the armor shred.

I had a Nasus the other day that carried hard. When I checked his damage, he was very close to doing equal amounts of both damage types. I don't think anyone should underestimate how much magic damage Nasus can put out. I wouldn't build MR against it but it's still nothing to scoff at.

I don't know but I think i'd like susan to stay this way. He's quite balanced, it just depends on the summoner being able to utilize him the most.

I'm a quasus main and >>https://ibb.co/iwmEkk I had 621 stacks by 20 with 200 farm and 1v4 on 9fps and 200-300ms. How can do like amazingly good when played right so I doubt he needs either a nerf or buff.

Are you serious? So you want to buff susan to the point where it's impossible to get away from him? If you want 600 fucking AA range and 200% MS boost then I suggest suggesting on removing his already little counterplay nearly stun Wither.

If you noticed, he only stated spells, not auto attack range. Spells include his AOE circle, and his slow, I'd imagine. His Q, an empowered Auto, would not have increased range with his suggestions.

I'm a huge fan of ms buffs for immobile champions.

Anything else is either too much or too little to matter. Though I don't feel that he is as weak as you might imagine.

If I had made a poll, I would have included an INFINITE STACKING REEEEEEEEE option.
