What if windwall deflected instead of blocked?
Instead of a literal "wall" what if it was a circular shape instead, and skill shots that hit it, were instead diverted as if they had bounced off of it?
That means, it would be useful in a 1v1 situation to position yourself on the other side or inside of it, but in team fights it would mean damage doesn't just disappear.
The coding might seem difficult, but it would really just be a single equation check, if you treated every projectile as a perfect circle/sphere. Check two positions of the projectile before impact to get a vector, then deflect based on a single calculation of two round objects colliding. There is no spin or friction, and if you assume a perfectly elastic collision then it would just go the rest of the distance it still had to travel.
Now, obviously auto attacks wouldn't be able to be calculated this way, but what if it instead just turned them into a projectile moving in a random direction for some set distance?
