It's not even being brought back from the dead that's the unbelievable part, its the fact that he's already rotted and gone. There's no reason for him to come back.

The Project skin line is the anti-Battlecast skin line in a post-apocalytpic RuneTerra where Viktor heads an evil corporation. Yone cannot be a part of this, because it would imply he was never dead, which he is, because YASUO BURIED HIM.
For Yone to be a champ, he'd have come back, and for that we'd need some other character entirely to make him come back as a zombie, in which case, he sure as hell wouldn't be getting a robotic warrior skin as his launch, because he would not be able to use any of the quick flashy things, because he is a zombie, and very slow. Furthermore, it'd have to be done IMMEDIATELY after the fight with Yasuo, because I'm willing to bet there was no fancy coffin for Yone.
This also all happened during the Ionian War, which would only add to the confusion. And the only people right now we know can resurrect people, are Noxus and the Shadow Isles, and neither have ANY reason for resurrecting Yone.
Not to mention, the GP VU is a terrible example, because that wasn't a skin becoming canon, that was a VU + a canon skin. They'd ruin the totality of their lore if suddenly cyber-samurai project because canon, because this is primarily a FANTASY universe.
Furthermore, Riot said that the next 2 patches are balance patches, and that the champion release scheduled would be delayed because of this. Unless they are teasing a skin thats going to come out in 5.19, this isn't Yone, or any new champion at all.

The Fast1 votesNeither of them were rotted and gone. They were retrieved from the battlefield in tatters and rebuilt with necromancy/hex-techmaturgy. Yone was buried, decomposed, and left alone since the Ionian War. Neither Noxus nor Zaun have any reason to reanimate the brother of some no-name samurai who THEY FRAMED IN THE FIRST PLACE.
Both Sion and Urgot were famous brutal warrior that were strong assets to the Noxian Army, so they had effort and resources put into them in order to reanimate them.
There is zero reason to reanimate the less-talented brother of a framed ronin, unless they wanted to catch him, in which case they'd be Ionian, in which case they wouldn't be using necromancy in the first place.

Still zero reason to bring Yone back. And Jarvan the 4th is the PRINCE of Demacia afaik.

and he would fit into the entire theme aswell as the other ones. he also didnt get a skin in quite some time.
yasuo is probably in there, because he was the first one to get a skin of this line. and hes also the only one currently unlocked on the teaser page. i wonder how long it will take until the first skins are revealed. i would be suprised if it took more than 1 or 2 days.
maybe jax is getting some lore changes aswell with a vu to tie him into yasuos lore. right now his lore is still tied to the institute of war, and riot has been phasing that out as a part of the actual lore.

im not saying youre wrong. but they almost seem identical. i dont see a reason for riot to introduce a champion whos pretty much exactly like yasuo. and has the same samurai theme.
recently they tried to make their champions as unique as possible. and introducing his brother would break that pattern.
take a close look at jax. his hair comes the same way out of his helmet. and those 6 eyes in the mask make it look very much like him.

lux and garen, draven and darius are depicted as entirely different characters from the start.
in yasuos teaser both of them looked pretty much the same. it could still happen. but imo its just as likely that the dude is jax and the trace numbers are identical because he gets his lore rewritten to tie in with yasuo. currently, jax lore is still tied in with the league and the institute of war. riot stated that they want to separate the game and champion lore and has been phasing out the institute and summoners. its very likely that if jax was to get a vu he also would get updated lore.

This can't possible be for the new champion, unless they are teasing a skin set they'll release in 5.19.

Key features:
- Long pony tail. Yone, by the picture you shared, has a far shorter pony tail.
- Thick, round shoulder pads that don't rise up. Jax typically doesn't have shoulder pads, and when he has they've been mis-matched. Yi typically has fancier shoulder pads that rise up (more comparable to Project Yasuo). Xin Zhao, in contrast, is typically depicted with thick, round shoulder pads that don't rise up.
The Fast1 votesIt could be Xin, but I think the whole 6 eyes and the orientation of the ponytail, that being that it rises from the top of the head rather than the back, makes me think Jax is much more likely.
Not to mention, the picture makes a point of covering the character's neck, something Jax has in a lot of his skins. The skin also seems to have a lot of cloth under the plating, which Jax typically wears.
As for the mismatch in shoulder, you got a point there. At the very least, the two shoulder plates you see are mismatched in terms of color. We also don't see all of the shoulder plates, so who knows.
Not to mention this is a full on faceplate/mask, something typical of Jax in every skin, while it'd make much more sense to give Xin a visor like Yasuo, instead of a full on animated faceplate.
Xin is possible, but I think Jax is more convincing. Not to mention, Jax follows the PROJECT skin theme of fighters who'd rather fight alone.

Rabid Husky1 votesits possible they both do bathe in light and wield swords but all of leonas skins show her face she never hides it and as for the no connection thing same goes for fiora lucian and all zed and leona have in common with yasuo is being ionian (i forget the actual name and spelling but i know its located in ionia) and we know for 100% fact Zeds getting a project skin with the shadows clue.then theres also the theme skins have rarely ever i dont even think ever for a full set have had the champs lore and locations relate to their theme after all riot blitz graves nasus kayle and singed all the same theme nothing to tie them together and malphite aatrox and kha zix have nothing in common yet they all have the mecha skins theme

Look at the 6th guys weapon, it resembles the same Weapon renekton has, but its too small. And it is not a regular sword Like master Yi.
