Then we want to say that matchmaking is balanced. I am currently sitting at a 1629 ELO (according to op.gg) in plat 5. The Average elo for other players in plat 5 is 1756 (again according to op.gg). This is bullshit. The current elo system is trying so hard to demote me. THIS IS NOT RIGHT!!!! If anything I should be gaining more LP because I am playing with higher ELO players.
Mysticman892 votesWhile op.gg and similars estimates of mmr are not your actual mmr, unless you've got an abysmal MMR I'd be inclined to think that LP gains of 10 or less are a side effect of loss forgiven being active (I don't know if it is), which reduces your LP gains by half while active, but removes LP losses entirely.
Better Jungler1 votesOP.gg mmr is wayyy off. It used to be pretty accurate but end of s5 is when it stopped working correctly.
Personal example: I was projected to be placed in Plat 5 on my main account due to my op.gg MMR and previous seasons ranking.. after winning 10/10 placement matches, I got placed gold 3.
