Would Riot ever consider removing a champion?

I don't care who or what you play, who or what you like, or even who or what your hate. It's a simple question of whether we'd end up completely removing a champion from the game. Whether it be completely or just a complete re-work/re-imagining. I'm just curious if that has been on the table within the last 3-5 years or so. (I know Jax was a prime example of this)

Every time the rework a champion or change their kit, the old version is removed forever.

I doubt they would ever actually remove a product from their line without replacing it with something else. That's why reworks happen.

Poppy, Sion, Yorick. All of them are largely different from their pre-rework state, and could be essentially thought of as new champions.

they wont remove because there are literally thousands that may play that champ removed, who might have spent money on skins too. So that being said they would just rework. to catch them up with the current game. Like ww, sion, sor, talon etc... its more that they will rework those who need it

They won't.

Better question is "Would Riot ever consider removing CertainlyT?"

I guess they better not, some people pay money for this stuff.

It's all hypothetical, but we would assume they would refund at least the RP for whatever champion.

And all the skins that go along with that champ? For all the people that own that champion? And what about the outcry of people that only wanted that champion and no one else, making their refunded RP useless and now want their real money back?

Better for Riot to just put the champion on the list of future reworks then deal with all this other shit. Saves them a lot of outcry from the community about money and they get to keep the assets they've worked on so far.

I don't think so. Once a champion has been released then at least one person out there would become attached to at least one aspect of the champion even if they were totally useless in-game. Even leaving the champion in an Olaf'd state would be better than completely removing them and obviously the desired solution from their end would be to eventually rework the champion into something that still captures what the player liked while having some other stuff that makes the champion actually healthy for the game at the same time.
