The difference between high and low diamond is so massive

How do you make the jump? I barely made it to D4 last season and I'm stuck right back in D5 now. When I play with and against D1 players is humbling to see just how much better they are than me

How do you improve that much to reach that level? I don't have the time to grind hundreds of games anymore

focus on your mistakes. be it bad farm/bad tp's/bad mapawwareness/bad mechanics/bad attitude etc etc. and if you are in diamond its time to improve teamplay aswell since once you get out of d4 you can start relying on your team a little bit. My mistakes are Bad attitude( i give up almost instantly ) low teamplay because i learned to carry on my own by beeing greedy with resourses but in the current meta its not as efficient and you should play a role that can actually carry tbh.. i mean i switched from jungle because i didnt like the meta i got to d2 playing 70% toplane and 20% support ( autofilled the rest games ) but now i got hardstuck and my champs keep getting nerfed on top of that so i switch back to jungle and become a graves onetrick. XD

I feel the only way to climb is to go full meta sheep unless you were born with some god-like mechanics. I main some off-meta stuff that feels pretty bad at this level. If I had to pick I would say Wukong is my main (Top/Jungle) but he has so many bad matchups in this meta and his lane phase relies on cheese that most people stop falling for after Plat. His early jungle clear is pretty bad and he just cant put nearly the same pressure down early as any other meta jungler.

Should I just go full meta sheep?

look i played some metawhore champs aswell like Naut ( even tho i play him for years now ) Maokai and Malza yeh the games are much easier when your champion is a braindead pile of garbage but metawhoring alone doesnt make up for overall game knowledge.+ you wont have fun playing meta. meta is boring as shit thus why i cant follow it for more than 10games. But atm i gave up on ranked tbh im fine with mid diamond and ik that the more i climb the more i have to play against meta which i hate. much rather keep my sanity than my rank.

Unfortunately I can feel the age of my main's kit. The only real way to outplay is mindgames with your clone which doesnt work when people dont play like trash anymore. Other than that he kind of does one thing. If that doesnt work, you're SOL and useless for the entire match. Maybe playing Wukong put me at a handicap because I feel my mechanics aren't up to par on other champs. I kind of feel I pidegonholed myself into playing other braindead low skillcap champs like Maokai or Poppy

d5 - d3 is where skill can actually win you games and d3-d1 is pretty much open mids handed out left and right.

one sided games every single game and its just so frustrating.

I personally divide Diamond as two different ranks. D5 and D 4-1.

D5 usually consists of players happy with the rank, and a small portion of players who really want to go further.

The ones that are happy are less likely to improve because of the mindset ( If you're happy why change anything ). That group is also split between boosted players, the ones who were aiming for D5, and players who tried really hard to improve and eventually became content with the fate of finding their true rank.

To get out of D5 just keep playing with the right mindset and will to improve. Teamplay is strong there and if you get that down you're good. Start thinking of the macro game more. Knowing your matchup to the T is a big thing. Be aware of their cd, know in which situation you can do enough damage and what damage they can do to you ( that is learned through trial and error mostly ).

It's all nice in theory like this but it takes time. Just keep playing with the right mindset.

personally i was hard stuck in d3 60 points exactly

played thresh and made it to d2

played adc darius and made it to d1

played Jhin botlane with a onetrick Sona main that made it to master in s6, and she played full AP, and thanks to her we made it to master and now i'm playing alone

i never knew what made me winning games, all i do is playing not flaming winning my lane not doing mistakes and win, if someone else loses the game i just start over

I only play solo and I also main off-meta stuff like Wukong who I feel just isn't up to par for high ELO. He's too straightforward and predictable. His lane is either getting hard countered by champs like Darius or Jayce or relying on cheese that nobody falls for anymore at this ELO. Also his early jungle clear is had and has very little early gank pressure. Do I just give up and go full meta slave?

darius also gets countered heavily by riven or jayce what i do atm is i play darius, and if there is a lane counter i play swain

what yu need to do is the same, if there is a lane you can win witwukong just play wukong, if there is darius well you're forced to pick a champ who counters him like swain or rumble

Yeah I need to pick up Swain. He does really well with a lot of the champs that dumpster Wu. Think I'm kind of too late with Jayce because he seems to be on the radar for some nerfs (thank god).
