What do you think of the tenacity gone to 20% instead of 35% on mercs

I won't lie, I hate it. It's already boring to get kited, CC win games anyway. I haven't seen much people talk about it (there were obviously bigger problems such as warlord's and turrets) What is your opinion about it? Do you think it was a good step/ bad step? I'm aware that merc treads are slightly cheaper now and that it was pretty much must buy for a lot of champions, but still... I don't like where it's going.

makes me not build mercs anymore.. it seems like riot always nerf the stuff dat was the best in s5

I'm not particularly fond of it, but at least they're testing that now as opposed to during the regular season. That would've been a disaster. Maybe it pans out that 35% is a necessity and it goes back, who knows?

You take the missing 15% on your mastery tree if you are playing a champ that is prone to getting kited.

Well last season you already had masteries to reduce CC on top of the mercuries, now you're forced to get 18 points in defense to have access to as much tenacity, I really don't like it.

Well most gamebreaking cc's nowadays are knockups anyway which don't get affected by Tenacity. The only champs you really need it for are Morg, Rammus or Fiddle, if you are getting kited by slows you can still go Boots of Swiftness who are cheaper now and give you 25% resist to slows.

Switching from Irelia to other champs the lack of tenacity in team fights for other champs is a really noticeable factor sometimes. In short tenacity is part of what makes Irelia a threat to carries while not having to have something like a zed ult to get in and get out as fast as possible.

I would say she pays for it by not having wave clear but that would be a lie given the new rageblade.
