Support champions are the easiest to play in the entire game and need to be reworked

NERDSMASHER5000·7/27/2015, 10:33:47 PM·6 votes·1,040 views

Janna Sona Annie Leona Thresh

(and yes i put thresh on here because he's easy as shit to play. you don't even have to be good at landing hooks to be useful because of the rest of his kit)

can we rework these champions to take skill and be less boring to play so support mains can stop elo boosting themselves and pretending like they're good at the game ty

i agree

rework all supports into assassins so that skilled players can show off their mechanical ability

You're fucking serious right? Support may seem like the easiest position but it's gotta be the 2nd hardest to play at a good level that and jungle.

Really?! I mean I have seen alot of weird posts, but people complaining about supports taking skill now?

supports takes the most punishment if they messup, supports has the the resposibiltiy to keep their adcs alive, and they DO have skill.

Threshs and leonas q is a skillshot, Jannas tornado as well, Annie is op and fun, and Sona is op when she is fed

Thresh May be cancer, but he ain't easy. And I may main Ezreal . But I respect my Soraka . I fucking love Soraka.

Well yeah, because the entire point behind the "adc/support meta" is to let the ADC do all the killing to maximize the damage output of one person, and you just need to keep them alive or set up plays.

And Annie is not a support lol

Not sure if serious or sarcasm. Judging from the OP's experience in playing support, probably sarcasm, but it's a little too harsh for me to really say one way or the other...

Supports are easy bcz all they do is hit buttons here & there.

When all the ADC do is right-click.

Sure, support is the "easiest". Sure......

Supports almost have to be easier to play, in the sense of champions like Sona or Janna . They don't have too much damage, except Sona when she builds a damn item 3089 . In this sense, they need to be easy to play so they don't have to make too many other choices.

As for Thresh , I have to disagree and say that he is a bit more difficult to play. My problem is that while he is tanky and has good CC, I find him to do plenty of damage on his own.

Leona and Annie are supports that are actually good examples of what you're trying to explain. They are very easy and have incredibly high rewards for it. Annie can get a targeted stun and still supplies her own damage, while Leona has LOTS of CC and a very long range Ultimate, so it makes it easy for her to engage.

Besides anything I have said, I can say for certain that support is a role that is just as difficult as jungling sometimes, and it here's why.

  1. Do you buy one item or another? You have a very limited gold income.
  2. When and where do you place wards and trinkets? In solo que, people will practically depend on you to ward the whole map, as they don't tend to want to invest even the slightest gold in a simple ward. I've done it too, but supports are practically vision machines.
  3. Where's you ADC? Is he/she behind you? In front of you? What condition are they in? (Mana, Health, Ultimate CD) These things pretty much determine what you do with your own stuff, which sucks sometimes because unless they're in the fountain buying, you don't really have the chance to do something. Although this does mean you can tag in with your mid or top laner as well.

Overall, support can be tricky to play. It has a lot choices that are meant to be made, taking sacrifices and risks to help your team in any way that they can.
