so Riot not see that Galio would not be a viable mid laner anymore if they cut his scaling by half?

I dont get it.

Any champion no matter how good he is if you cut his scaling by 50% on his main ability and make it cost 120 mana when it does nothing anymore he will instantly become unplayable in mid lane??

Lets say Ahri for example

Ranked Solo Patch 9.5 53.1% Win Rate 4 / 39 Rank 10.7% Pick Rate 5.2% Ban Rate

Ok shes doing too good in solo Q ok the nerfs will be

Q Orb of Deception 80 / 130 / 180 / 230 / 280 (+ 70% AP) Total damage ⇒ 70 / 120 / 170 / 220 / 270 (+ 40% AP) ?? MANA COST: 65 / 70 / 75 / 80 / 85 MANA ⇒ 75 / 85 / 95 / 105 / 115 ?? then u will end up with those stats

Ranked Solo Patch 9.6 45.85% Win Rate 38 / 40 Rank 1.4% Pick Rate 1.1% Ban Rate (those are galios mid stats currently)

which are only gonna be ahri mains playing her and desperately trying to find the best way to make her viable still.

The RIOTER in charge of 9.2 galio changes was just trying to do everything to remove galio from being a playable champion ANYWHERE. unfortunately for him the base damage hotfix buff made galio a viable support in competitive elo ONLY.

except now we have an INT PICK litterally everywhere else while he will still see play in competitive in a very toxic way that makes no sense rework wise.

Not only is Galio WAY WORSE than he was before any of those changes but a worse problem appeared that hes now a malz support level of toxic pick
