Why Lux has such high base damages?

That's one of the reasons she is so broken, even when the player is terribad enough to lose lane with her, they can still 1shot the enemy laner at level 6 if she land that snare, it's unfair and stupid for anyone playing against her. Combined with her laughable ult cd, she will just kill you again when you come back to lane and snowball, there's a reason Lux mains (AKA freelo abusers) often get mejais on her, it's so easy to stack when you have massive damage combined with the safety of massive range.

What's more broken is the range and the fact that it is impossible to dodge lux E. Lux can play wayyyyyy to safe for how much damage and cc she has.

Yes, she can zone you in lane whenever she wants, because the E is basically unavoidable and you don't want to eat her AA+thunderlord bullshit.

Her ulti procs her passive and can proc thunderlords are the same time. 1/4 of the damage lux puts out is overkill.

i never really noticed this before but now that i think about it, i remember this lux got a catalyst and had no ap besides runes and a doran's ring and was dealing a little bit more than 300 damage with her E. pretty sure i had ~42 MR

Her E deals 240 Magic Damage at rank 5 without AP.

Are you sure it wasn't a combination of E, an autoattack, her passive proc, and Thunderlord's proc'ing?

that's true. i don't really know then. all i remember was something like 315 showing up when her e popped and then looking at her items

I've seen countless times a lux 100-0 the enemy mid/adc while having no real items, just dorans and/or an amp tome.

And what does that have to do with them claiming that a single E with ~30 AP dealt over 300 damage through 42 MR?

That's clearly impossible from the base damage and ratios even at max rank, so I was correcting them.

Lux only needs a rank 1-4 Q snare nerfed to 1/1.25/1.5/1.75/2 and E's slow nerfed to 22/24/26/28/30%. Hurts her utility without gutting her and everyone's happy.
