I can't tell you how many times Riot has mentioned "diversity"

So why do they keep pushing it to be less and less diverse?

Mastery changes: "I guess I'll take this mastery option because the other one or two are useless to me" and how everyone's set-ups are practically exactly the same among whichever tree they're using.

Champion balance: Every champ that isn't either 'S' or 'A' tier is considered off-meta and practically unviable. Still playable, but you'll run into a lot of situations you don't have control over simply due to the massive overall power these champions have relative to some others.

Item balance: Forcing certain classes into meta while shoving others out. ADCs, Assassins, and Juggernauts->Tanks come to mind. The opposite for the majority of mages.

Current state of SR pushing the same scenarios over and over again. Win a teamfight? Why bother with baron, herald, or dragon when you can take 2+ towers and maybe an inhibitor at 15 minutes?

Can any Rioter comment on why none of this is being addressed despite you guys supposedly 'encouraging' diversity?

the new masteries i have to agree. There is such less to go with that i can have half of 2 of the 3 pages of masteries filled. before i could put all points in offense to show that i want to go full aggressive and sacrifice my defense, which leaving me vunerable. it was a challenge. now with the new masteries i can have full on offense with half tanking out in the defense side. its pretty lame.

with champion balances i believe for me its just based on how a player can use the champion. I use off meta champions and try to bring back the old ones and show them some love. its hard, but its fun.

The items I believe should be their main focus [besides teambuilder. If you don't bring back teambuilder then league has already become less of its glory.] There is very few items for each champion specifically. Every champion has a straightforward build, with sometimes having one different item, personifying towards the player itself, how they want to play, not on the actual champion. I've seen with new items they put in, such as cull, has a great impact on early game. It really helps, but doesnt swing the difference in build. I can get 4k gold in 15 minutes on bot lane adc a lot easier. with the item that focuses towards tanks for adc's i hope they indulge in true damage a bit, since just attack damage increase still wont stop a tank from destroying ur face.

Teambuilder should just replace blind pick. Dynamic Queue should be its own queue with Solo on the side. This will leave numbers for each queue similar to pre-dynamic, except teambuilder and 'pre-mades' will have many more people in queue.

ADCs don't need more damage to deal with tanks. Tanks need to be a lot tankier and deal less damage to the point where lifesteal makes a difference vs them. Besides, if anything, ADCs need less damage right now. They shouldn't still have the damage they do when building two+ defensive items.

Champions balance isn't just about how well people use a champion. I play Vlad and Skarner and win quite often with them, but that doesn't change how over-loaded, over-bearing, or un-fun (based solely on numbers, not kit) certain champions are. This season there are more situations than ever where you feel like you weren't outplayed...the enemy's just playing X, Y, or Z overloaded champion.

Because whenever a champion's build path grows more diverse (Yi can build bruiser now!) the community bitches until they change it.

That's an issue of building outside of your intended role based on how a champion is balanced. Champions should have a diverse array of options for their specific goals, but they should not get more benefits from itemization than its intended users.

For example, even after Yi gets nerfed, he will still have the option to build those items, but it comes with the same drawbacks everyone else has: giving up some damage for that tankiness.
