Two game mechanics that are not strictly OP but are just so damn toxic to fight against.

Riot goes through a tremendous effort tediously crafting champions that are great to play as while also not being a total bitch to play against. Considering the amount of champions in league at this moment compared to the amount of OP champions....I think they keep pretty fair tabs on this. However there are a couple of game mechanics that feel so wtf that it makes it hard to figure out how exactly Riot justified this to begin with.

1.) Clones - Creating an exact duplicate of yourself is certainly a fun thing to do and it is hilarious to watch enemy players try to track down your clone. It is NOT fun AT ALL for the other player however. Every time you create a clone of yourself the enemy player has to choose, do I pick A or B? Meaning that he/she has a 50/50 chance of picking the right target. "But Hay5eed!" I hear you roar "you are completely ignoring the fact that you can often figure out the right target by their actions"...but this is not true. Any player that knows how to play their champ will make it damned near impossible to figure out. Besides that how do you know that the enemy isn't just trolling by standing completely still while their clone runs away from you? You don't. You have literally no idea what the enemy is doing. Not knowing what the enemy is doing is perfectly fine when they are in the fog of war with no wards around. Not having vision when you need it is your fault. But even when you have vision of your target they press a button and POOF! Suddenly there are two of them and you haven't a clue what to do. They are not using brushes to hide from you, they are not hiding in fog of war, they are pressing a button (or sometimes not) to juke you and there is not a single thing you can do about it. Biggest offenders of this go to Leblanc who can send her clone down to freaking bot lane from mid and Shaco whose clone is an essential part of his kit.

2.) Invisibility - When laning against someone with an invis, or invis traps, your only genuine options are to stock up on item 2055 and hope for the best. Problem is that control wards cost gold and provide no benefit to your actual character, you can only have one active at a time, and it takes up a whole item slow. This means that you are wasting gold that you could be putting towards your core items, the ward itself doesn't provide any real bonus to you, and come late game you will have none of them because it will be replaced with your last item. Sure you have item 3341 and it's upgrade but these are rarely useful and has long cooldowns. Are you an assassin playing against a mage? item 3156 item 3139, you get some ad, mr, and cdr. It's not as good as a ghostblade or duskblade but it is STILL a good item with a mixture of defensive and offensive stats. Are you a mage laning against an assassin? item 3157 , Ap, cdr, ar, plus the active. Laning against someone with an invis? Bleed gold into an item that doesn't help you at all.

Explain how seeing two exact copies of one enemy isn't confusing considering that you can control the clone? Sure you can most likely distinguish the differences between the two by their behavior, but there is simply no %100 percent way of saying "Yep, that's the clone, and THIS one is the legitimate".

Actually there are a couple. If you call a target ping on them before they use the close ability, the target symbol will stay on the real one for example. Another one is if you ignite or exhaust them before they use their clone, the clone won't have the ignite or exhaust visual effect on them but the real one will. I think there's one or two other ways to tell as well but I can't remember them.

clone takes more damage (so if you use an aoe ability, whichever one gets chunked for less is real)

stats are different. If you click on shaco and the clone, the clone will have a lower ad (others as well but AD is easier to take a quick glance at)

But these methods go against standard gameplay that it is just playing annoying to deal with.

It's like making the real one visible via an app on your smartphone. Sure it is a way to deal with it, but it's not a method that transistions well into the game's standard gameplay

Lots of things go against standard gameplay. Working around Jhin reloads and 4th shot. Dealing with Donger's turrets. Not being able to flash away from Camille. Going closer to a melee champion to take less damage against Darius. The whole champion rooster has something that makes you deviate from the standard gameplay.

Here's a short list of things you can look for against Shaco:

100% certain ways: Mana. The one with less mana is the real one (unless they have item 3508 and only the clone is critting) Visual effects from Sheen line. If Shaco ults while the Spellblade effect is off CD, the real one's hands will glow after he ults. Ping the real before he ults. I particularly hate this one for how simple and effective it is. The clone usually lacks items, levels, or stats. The tower will always focus the clone after there are no more minions.

50% certain ways: Health. The clone takes more damage from all sources, so it's health should, most of the time be lower. Delay. There is usually a slight delay in commands issued to the clone, it's hard, but can be noticed.

It doesn't transition into standard gameplay because it's not standard gameplay, that's the whole point of it. Stealth champions get their strength by forcing you to rely on your intuition and game-sense against them. It's not that they are overpowered or unfair or anything like that, it's that you can't play against them 'casually'. If you play the game like there is no stealth in it then they will always be a thorn in your side, however if you acknowledge them for what they are and their strengths and make an effort to always be one step ahead of them then they will rarely if not never get the better of you. This type of gameplay is completely fair too since this is a competitive strategy game at it's core.

Vayne, And while twitch has camo, he is an honorable mention due to his gank potential.

honestly, theyre even worse in the jungle.

because since you cant properly ward against them, it forces you to hug your turret almost throughout the entire lane phase.

Teemo forces half your team to buy control wards or a oracle's alteration. This means you give up a ward advantage, and a gold advantage.

Compared to an Assassin or a Karthus. You just buy Zhonya's or a Banshee's Veil. These items are tangible because they keep their value throughout the game. On the other hand, Control Wards are 75G a piece, and Oracle's Alteration means giving you are giving up wards for a chance to spot where the shrooms are. That is a big disadvantage.

If two of your team-mates buy an oracle's alteration, you gave up 2 every 2mins and those wards quickly rack up through the game.

I don't know whats more important, losing an ward advantage or being scared to walk throughout the map. Both sound awful with no counter play.

so a trinket that pretty much you need to have in order to do basic vision control is a terrible buy just because you are giving up ward slots that you more than likely aren't even using to begin with or that will get denied by the enemies oracle's... yeah sure dude
