too. Anytime a champion gets a legendary skin they get gutted for several patches in a row, the only exception in recent memory being Jinx. I love Riot's skin team so it's a real shame that their balance team has to go and make players feel a mix of emotions when their favorite champions get a legendary skin. It's like "yes! My champ is getting an awesome sk... oh wait they are bottom tier now..."

Maybe that's how they determine how popular a champ REALLY is. Sure everyone and their mom will play an OP champ(that may or may not have a lower IP cost) while they're considered crazy OP to better get that elo, but only the TRUE fans will continue playing said champ after receiving TONS OF NERFS while also getting that $20 price tag that's literally one third the cost of a full on Triple A title to get that fancy skin for that nerfed down champ.

Maybe but I'm not sure that's entirely true. I love Rengar to death, but I just can't bring myself to play him after the changes done in the pre-season update. There's definitely a difference between loving a champion and loving to play them, and in a lot of cases I do think gutting a champion truly drives away some players who would call that champion one of their mains if they were left somewhat viable.

I also love Rengar but just am not that good at him after his rework. His new Q is pretty cool looking, but I really just prefer his empowered autoattack.
It's also sad because Rito really has no idea what to do with him.

I was mainly joking with that previous post as it's pretty common knowledge that gutted champs rarely get played except as troll or some odd off meta/ very situational pick. Take Aatrox for example. He's pretty bad ATM, but if played right under the right circumstances(some crazy Korean is pretty awesome with him) he can be a the demonic monster he was meant to be.
