What about Cleanse on mid lane assassins?

Their biggest weakness is that if they jump in, they usually get CC-locked and exhausted which prevents them from dealing their damage. Recently I looked up the effects of Cleanse though and I feel like it's the perfect tool to deal with those problems.

I thought it would only remove CC like QSS but in fact it does not only do that, it also removes all enemy summoner spell effects and gives you 65% tenacity for 3 seconds wich is huge.

So imagine, you jump in as a Zed and the first thing the enemy does of course is exhausting and chain CCing you. You just remove it and make the rest of the CC last 1/3 as much which makes you deal much more damage and move much more freely than you would otherwise, more damage than an extra ignite would give you, which also has a higher cooldown.

The only thing I don't like about it is that you still can't remove suppression which means that you still get screwed over by Malz but overall it seems like the perfect answer for their problems.

I suck at midlane so I'm not really able to test it but I would like some of the assassin and midlane mains out there to give their opinion on this. Thoughts?

Cleanse in mid is not only viable, it's strong against most mids, be it Cassiopeia, Ahri, Veigar or other champions.

Cleanse is a typically weak spell because of the existing QSS but it works as a substitute for my mages if i'm playing against a Lux or Veigar since if they land their stun you're as good as dead

You give up early kill pressure and this spell is pretty useless in a non-stop fighting games. It's ok in LCS where they are playing super safe and try not to feed.

Vermillion (one of the best zeds in the world) used to take cleanse in 90% of match ups. I haven't watched him since around may though so you would have to see if he still does.
