When Riot originally started using the term toxic to describe unhealthy champions Vlad was the first example they gave (should have been Fizz but whatever). His entire design is troll to the max and seems to be based around the idea of being annoying as possible.

Except he DOES have little/no counterplay.

That's why he got nerfed repeatedly.

As someone who plays a lot of Vlad, I cannot stress how low counterplay his early game main damage source is and how frustrating he is to play against.

At least this time there's a better argument than "skill floors and ceilings so sometimes people will suck" as a reason for why he's balanced

No CC in his kit. If he takes ignite because it works well with his ult, he loses the map presence of teleport or the utility of flash. Tethers continue to effect him, even in his pool, as well as player terrain blocking him in the pool, like Anivias wall and J4 ult. etc.

I'm surprised nobody whined about Viktor damage yet since he's been played in LCK quite a bit and I'm pretty sure LCS a few times. I'm also really surprised that we haven't seen much Hecarim or Sion complaining. But I think that's mainly because Sion's mediocre late game carry ability and Hecarim jungle still being viable and holding off nerfs

Honestly, I do wish vlad would get reworked, for the simple reason of I don't play him, but play other mages, and we aren't allowed to have nice spell vamp items because Vlad breaks the game when they exist :(
